Russia invading Ukraine (NEWS/UPDATES)

This. More weapons needed.

They have plenty of weapons including the the Western anti tank stuff but need to be clever as when to use them.

Russia didn’t want this though, they wanted to be largely fighting the Ukrainian defences in the fields and villages of Eastern Ukraine where they could take out large numbers with overwhelming artillery and missile power. Rolling into cities for close combat and at the mercy of ambush attacks was perceived to be Ukraine’s best chance of causing them massive damage.

Hard to tell much though as their seems to be a tacit agreement on social media to respect Ukraine’s request to not share Ukrainian movements.

UEFA need to cut ties with Gazprom now. Infact it would be good to see any large organisations severing ties and sponsorship deals they have with Russian companies.
Haas have dropped their Uralkali sponsorship and Russian flag colour scheme in F1.

Can’t tell if that’s just for testing or for the whole season though.

Just been thinking about this. The only NATO countries with a border to Russia are Latvia and Estonia. Lithuania has no border with Russia. Poland does not have a border to Russia but the pro-Russian Belarus does. The Balkan states border is comparatively small. Ukraine has by far the biggest border with Russia. Finland to the North is a neutral non NATO state. Ukraine will clearly be the biggest fear for Russia. I was just reading Prisoners of Geography by Tim Marshall last night and it covers the Russian/Ukraine/Crimean issue very well and explains the underlying issues. One of the things it mentions a fair bit is Russia`s fears of the Ukraine joining NATO. It actually says that this is a very clear red line that Putin would not tolerate. Quite prophetic.
Poland has a border with Russia - Kaliningrad.

I’m starting to change my mind, initially I thought we should keep out of it but I’m honestly at the point where I think we need to get some boots on the ground over there and get some bloody fighters in the sky. We need to let these bastards know they can’t just do what they want.
I'm all for peace but Putin is hellbent on war and death. He won't care about the Ukrainian people, the Ukrainian people have a right to live and not be murdered in their own democratic country.
They need help, everyone should help.

Nobody gives a fuck about Saudi Arabia bombing Yemen.
You mean the MSM don't give a fuck about Saudi Arabia bombing Yemen. Most people probably don't really know what's happening there as it isn't reported.

If this wasn't reported most people probably wouldbt be talking much about this either.

And risk a nuke dropping on London?

Get why people don't want to share photos or videos and asking for them to be removed but the world needs to see the violence and cruelty Russia are causing.

Nazis managed to keep sympathy from locals until after the war. No one believed the articles in the papers. It was only after the locals were rounded up and frog marched through the nearby camps and seeing the piles of bodies that they realised what was going on.

The more exposure the better. It will turn more Russians against the regime

That's what I'm getting at. The Yemenis don't matter as much as Ukrainians in the media's eyes.

Suppose stretching their army with so
many attacks from different directions especially from Belarus, the absolute shithouses, will force them to pull back and congregate in important areas.

A sniper in that block coudk have picked some of them off

This isn't a game on an abandoned planet. There are civilians everywhere around.
Indiscriminate retaliation would have followed straight after. Would there have been much of a block left?
Both sides seem to be trying to avoid civilian casualties as much as possible at the moment.

There was an oligarch meeting yesterday & they were talking about crypto currencies. Now, I'm not an expert on crypto but if it tanks they might turn against Putin.
Plus the thing about crypto currency is in most countries it's still not currently and as an asset, any sales to raise cash and it's cgtable.
