Kiev will have Russian tanks in the centre in next few days but then what do they do? The world has moved on. It isn’t 1950s any more. People have got used to travel, freedom, they have mobiles and internet. It is a nightmare unfolding but I haven’t lost hope for the people of Ukraine.
I’m usually a cynical bloke but this is an existential crisis that could plunge us into darkness or could be over if things happen differently. Also could be years if miserable stalemate for Ukrainians.
So so sad.

The least nations can do to assist is to ensure they have the technology and arms.. make sure the Ukrainian troops are well fed etc.. the resources are there from Europe and America to do that

I just worry Ukraine will realize nobody is gonna help them and just fold. I know they’re a strong nation but there’s always a point when you have to cut your losses.

I still don’t think Putin wants all of the Ukraine, he just wants to know he will be allowed to keep the east

Think it’s time some of the NATO countries gave some of their top assault troops Ukraine uniforms and tell them to get stuck in to some strategic targets.

Having NATO nations on the other border means even without airfield deliveries we can keep reasonable supply lines open for them. Havr o make sure a reasonable corridor remains open

I am strongly against war, for reasons I have explained previously. Our lads being killed in conflicts that have nothing directly to do with us a nation. But watching this unfold I bet most of our military men would be happy to get involved and stop this. We cannot sit and watch this unfold and hope sanctions do the trick. This is obscene and we have to stop it.

I was thinking similar, yesterday the PM didn’t rule out military support.

I pray the UK are sending our best covert forces over to help defend the people of Ukraine
