They didn’t want this war
The west are not their enemy………it’s the government as Putins actions in Ukraine have shown how reckless he is!

Tbh this is a much more worrying prospect than a war that is just executed as part of a cold, calculating plan by a despot. You must be logged on to see external links
Please stop posting utter nonsense on this thread. It is quite a valuable source of information and isn’t a place for the usual shite. Or post as much as you like but as I said to Apache I’ll just stick you on ignore.tbf Russian people have had enough time to get their act together over the years and stand up to Putin, but they've not done it.
600,000 Russians-200,000 Ukraine. So yes they do.The bit I don’t get, so humour me, is how he holds it. He can put a puppet in place, but they have had years of democracy (relatively), and the ill feeling must be through the roof.
Do they seriously have the troop numbers to hold it for years?
Source? Some facts - Since the dissolution of the USSR, Russia had a large military / naval base in Crimea. In 2014, the US overthrew Ukraine's government, aiming to make Ukraine an outpost for NATO or NATO's interests, and to kick Russia out of Crimea, which is an exceedingly valuable strategic point on the Black Sea.
In response to the US-orchestrated coup, Crimea, which had tried to leave Ukraine and rejoin Russia for decades, lawfully chose to join Russia. And the heavily Russian-ethnic regions of Donetsk and Lugansk in eastern Ukraine declared their independences from Ukraine and also sought to join Russia (but Russia didn't accept them).
This infuriated the US and NATO, which then proceeded to funnel weapons into Ukraine and train Ukrainian troops and also Nazis, and encourage Ukraine to not stop trying to take Donetsk and Lugansk back by force. Years ago, Ukraine also signed the Minsk accords, under which Ukraine agreed to grant Donetsk and Lugansk autonomy within Ukraine. But Ukraine never upheld the agreement and continued to try to retake Donetsk and Lugansk by force.
After 8 years of Donetsk and Lugansk being brutalised by Ukraine, Russia decided it'd had enough and finally recognised the independence declarations of Donetsk and Lugansk, and agreed to protect them, from Ukraine's attacks.
As Russia moved forces into Donetsk and Lugansk a day or two ago, the shelling of those regions by Ukraine's army stopped for a while. That was the first calm those regions had had in years. But then, for who knows what reason, Ukraine started heavily shelling those regions again, and shelled them all last night and today. And this time, Russia's military was in those regions. In response, Russia had launched missile strikes and some other operations against Ukraine, taking out Ukraine's air defences and airforce, as well as other military targets.
The voices in his head I reckonSource?
America and the U.K. hugely outnumbered the Taliban. How did that end up?600,000 Russians-200,000 Ukraine. So yes they do.
It's pretty much word for word what was being broadcast on RT when I had a look yesterday.Source?
No offence meant, but your showing a little lack of understanding of what goes on over there imo.tbf Russian people have had enough time to get their act together over the years and stand up to Putin, but they've not done it.
Take your point mate, but a different kind of enemy. Ukraine have conventional troops and not a vast network of underground Guerillas. Plus, while there was some collateral damage against the Taliban, we tried to minimise that. Putin won't give a fuck about it. He will just carpet bomb the lot, civilians and all.America and the U.K. hugely outnumbered the Taliban. How did that end up?
I think it’s been popping up on Facebook, my wife asked me if any of it was accurate. Of course some is but only from a very pro Russian viewpoint and not to be taken at face value. Presumably Russian bot at work. It's pretty much word for word what was being broadcast on RT when I had a look yesterday.
Only boriss mistakes will allow that but he’s tried that and still leads the countryOther than leading a coup, what can Starmer do to become PM before the next GE?
Maybe the west is letting it unfold without military intervention as they know it will get really messy and hopefully the Russian people will not except what Putin is doing, if the west attacked Russian troops, that would give Putin every excuse he needs.I can't believe all the Western governments are sitting about watching this happen. It's an absolute outrage and the response is a few bank accounts get frozen.
I get that we don't want a nuclear war. So let's watch civilians in Europe be bombed and put ourselves in manacles.
