I thought I read somewhere that over 90% of people voted to be independent of Russia?

I’m just going off what I’ve been told by people who live there and from visiting the place several times and seeing it first hand.

Would you rather it was Trump up there? He’s been praising Putin
It wasn’t a political statement. I was just highlighting how bloody strange it was that the leader of a super power country, was laughing and smiling whilst giving a briefing regarding a conflict where people are losing their lives.

I found it uncomfortable when much of his speech related to how he wants to make sure the American people don’t suffer at the “gas pumps”.

Russian anti war protesters i salute you ......every single one of them face arrest (at best) but still can't stand by and do nothing ...they felt the need to show Mr Putin the attack is not in their name
They need to storm
Government buildings etc cause as much disrupt as they can

Sky News just showed a current state of what's going on.
The main stomping units due to arrive at Kyiv overnight (our time)

Everyone's saying if Kyiv falls then Moldova is as good as gone also, Lithuania will be in alot of trouble also as Russia own Kalingrad which is part of Lithuania so they'll be an easy target to incite a revolt.

No it's not, not even close.
A poll released on 5 November 2009 showed that about 67% of Ukrainians believed the relationship with Russia should be a friendship between "two independent states". According to a 2012 poll by the (KIIS), 72% of Ukrainians preferred Ukraine and Russia as independent but friendly states with open borders without visas or customs; the number of unification supporters shrunk by 2% to 14% in Ukraine.

In December 2014, 85% of Ukrainians (81% in eastern regions) rated relations with Russia as hostile (56%) or tense (29%), according to a survey which did not include Crimea and the separatist-controlled part of . reported that 5% of Ukrainians (12% in the south and east) approved of the Russian leadership in a September–October 2014 survey, down from 43% (57% in the south and east) a year earlier.

In September 2014, a survey by of the mainly cities of and found that 87% of residents wanted their region to stay in Ukraine, 3% wanted to join Russia, 2% wanted to join "Novorossiya," and 8% were undecided. A KIIS poll conducted in December 2014 found 88.3% of Ukrainians were opposed to joining Russia.

It’s horrendous to think what’s went on since 2014 and everyone has sat back and let Putin build his cash up and allow Europe to be economically reliant on Russia through gas etc.

I know nuclear war would be unbelievably horrendous, but the thought of all that radioactive waste spreading over the whole of western Europe in particular is just as unfathomable.
