What can be done, in this time frame?

Not a dig, genuinely asking ?

For NATO to step in surely they'd need some time to discuss it. No individual country like the US or Germany is gonna pile in without any planning

And even if or when someone does step in, what do they do? Aim for russian military units in Ukraine ? There will be a total shitstorm, hopefully there are some adults up there somewhere discussing it calmly.

If it were me, I'd ask dear straws, whover gets pulled out has to send a few jets in to blow fuck out of a few Russians but no one takes credit. That way Putin doesn't know who slapped him and all of the western powers just say 'wasnt me'
