There is a missile detection system site there, but it's from the Cold War. It was state of the art at the time. So maybe it's strategic or territorial. Consensus now is coming round to the conclusion that Covid is man made as no link to an animal host has yet been found. You'd have to draw your own conclusions as to what the ultimate aim of manufacturing a virus would be. Personally I wouldn't totally discount the possibility of nefarious reasons.
