'Consequences you have never seen before in your history'.
This is why there will be no military action. Having seen his actions in the last 24 hours we can't afford to call his bluff.
Somebody's son/husband/father....Body on the ground is so sad.
My thoughts exactly.Russian or Ukrainian, to see that dead soldier just left there is heartbreaking
I don’t think you understand what democracy is then.He just announced a lifting of all covid restrictions. Hardly destroying it.

It's not a surprise, they announced as much 2 weeks ago during the Olympics.f***ing hell that's all we need.
While I agree with the sentiment the reality is that Putin sees himself as the successor of Lenin and no amount of nice words will stop him. Mental.
Sanctions, military support in terms of providing weapons. That's not turning a blind eye.So we're just going to turn a blind eye then ?![]()

More or less, it’s the sensible thing to do. Thing is, Ukraine is a young nation, Russia has been at war with them for years but because it wasn’t a full scale invasion we hear little about it. During those years was the time to act if the west wanted to. Now it’s gone to a full scale invasion there’s outcry, if the west get involved now there would be carnage. So we're just going to turn a blind eye then ?![]()

Russia have nothing to gain from a nuclear war. They rely solely on income from oil and gas and no one is buying any if countries are nuked to oblivion.I don’t know where it is but there has to be a red line. I also don’t believe it would necessarily invoke a nuclear war
It’s a very loose comparison. Struggling to find a justifiable reason to invade a sovereign country at the moment.I don’t think you understand what democracy is then.
History has shown us time and time again that people like Putin won’t stop there.
What’s the alternative? Fight? Putin has already mentioned the nuclear option…is it really worth calling his bluff?
That’s history. Where are the facts now that he wants to invade other countries? It’s blatantly obvious why he wants Ukraine.Read a history book.
That's true but it doesn't necessarily have to be a Nato action.i dont think @Frijj realises that NATO is not a peacekeeping institution, its a defensive, mutual assistance pact
there nothing in the NATO treaty that would even begin to cover the idea of NATO deploying forces into Ukraine
