1 proposal which is being mentioned, which will weaken the Russians, is a No-fly Zone above Ukraine, with NATO patrolling.

Turkey implemented it in Syria only very recently
Before then it was during the Bosnian War where NATO had no involvement.

So its a viable option.

No chance. The Russian economy is smaller than Canada. They might take a few states now, but economic sanctions from China, the US, and Europe would cripple them beyond measure.
