Irvine has left West Ham, hasn't he? AN's #2 throughout his time at Norwich and PNE was Frankie McAvoy, who we wrongly appointed in the summer following an 'ok' interim spell.

If he's only being offered till the end of the season he's really got to back himself. I wouldn't be surprised after meeting Speakman and being fed the philosophy if he just waited for a desperate Championship club.

It's a good opportunity to do something here, but chances are he'll be out of work again in a year so if it isn't that attractive he might just not bother.
