Fergy is no the only one mate. There are loads. Thats what they see the coaches as for.

I disagree with most of what he's saying mate, but he did say thd club had made a mess of some of it.

No he said Keane never compromises. Compromise is needed on both sides, i suspect the club were part of the reason it failed and its not all on Keane

he won't manage or coach again

was never going to get a better opportunity than this to jump back in unless things are really really fucked up behind the scenes

we'll probably never know

I dont at all mate, shows you arent reading my posts

I have no doubt it wasnt perfect, we are a shambles

but thats not my point

Why hasnt Roy Keane worked in 13 years? You cant blame Sunderland for that

Alex Neil wants to be here seemingly. His recod is pretty good.

Your post said “keane never compromises”, compromise needed by both sides hence not all on keane imo

Post 937 mate.

I'm firmly in the Keane camp mate, but just trying to be fair to him.

He won’t get a better offer

Whose gonna hire him?

He expecting it to be a perfect scenario

It can’t be

He’s a liar

He doesn’t

Why is it all the clubs fault?
Two very hard nosed fuckers (Michael Dell, Roy Keane) have shown a lot of interest in SAFC they both got to look under the bed so to speak and immediately fucked off. One feels unlucky two looks like carelessness

The worst thing isn't not getting Keane, it's waiting this long and chucking 2 games to get him and then not getting him. We are such a joke it's insane. Doesn't matter who owns the club we are stuck endlessly being an embarrassment with things like this.
I think it does matter who owns us. We have been a badly run club in the PL and Championship for decades. This is different, we are now an established league one club run by people who should never have been allowed to “buy” us.

Don't let them be in charge then. Let a couple of senior pros take the team. Geads and Defoe. I genuinely don't think they could do any worse
Me and you could have done better than those two have tbh. That’s the worry. How can you coach at a club like ours and have so small an understanding of football.

You’re 100% right though, they don’t want to do it, then they should be shown the door and not allowed to. What a mess.

I can remember the disappointment when for a few days it looked like we might get Clough back in the 1980's. I feel no such disappointment today. Keane's second coming might have worked, it would certainly have been exciting in the short term. But I think Alex Neil is a better bet for getting us up out of the tentacles of this octopus of a division.

I am over the moon that Roy wont be back, I said in last thread when it looked certain how much I dreaded him coming back. He is just a horrible man in my mind, So far removed from what I think a manager should be. Onwards and upwards!

I hope Keane stops banging on about not getting a chance to coach again. He had a chance here. Sadly, not everyone can choose the circumstances, so sometimes you have to work with what you have. He's totally wimped out if you ask me. If you want to coach, you take the job offered to you. Its either you are in this to make a different or you are in this for a good contract and everything possible in your favour to make sure you cant fail or you are in this for a challenge to test yourself. In a game where Wayne Rooney wouldnt speak to his boyhood club because he thinks he can drag the impossible out of Derby, Keane turning us down is shit behaviour.

Hey ho, it would have went tits up eventually anyway. As it always does with Keane (and Sunderland.)
