Question: With all the manager changes the last 4 or 5 years at SAFC, why is Keane the top/hot candidate now and not before? I don’t have an answer or anything just curious of what changed for the club or Keane for this to happen?
This is the first time we've been without a manager since KLD assumedly took control of the club.

The Chancers could never have brought Keane in, despite that nonsense candid boast from Donald that he could.

He was never coming back under Short.

I believe Keane had a conversation with Donald and Co pre-Parkinson.

It didn't last long.

To be fair, I'd have taken a gamble on McCann.

I was 99% certain Johnson wouldn't get us through the play-offs. Somebody else, who can manage game to game, might. I don't know an awful lot about McCann to be honest but he's at least got promotion on his CV.

This time last week, I'd have taken him.
Parky had a promotion on his CV too look how that turned out

So you believe KLD reached out to Keane or do you think Keane contacted the club?

If Roy Keane turns you down then I'm not sure how you have managed that. He seemed desperate to get a job. He isn't daft, he knows isn't getting anything better than Sunderland in league 1.

He's was Martin O'Neill's assistant 2014 til 2019. The only time he could've been in contention is when Parkinson was binned, and he was linked then;

Main difference now I reckon is that he's signalled his interest to the media.

Its been 10 days now since Johnson left and its frankly ridiculous and embarrassing its taken this long. Once again we try for appearance sake to do the right thing, but everything just comes across as amateurish and moronic.
