When we sacked Johnson I honestly thought we’d had our eye on “the next Manning/Critchley/Wagner/Farke” and had him lined up to be appointed in a couple of days.

Then KLD went on TalkSPORT said they were looking at managers all over the World and I started looking at who was coaching U23 and B teams across Europe or who was doing well in smaller leagues.

It then transpired that the 3 leading candidates were Keane, McCann and Lennon 😐

I assumed we had an actual replacement ready - someone very high profile who we'd lose if we didn't pull the plug there and then.

Farke was the first name who came to mind actually, didn't know he was off the market. Was expecting a bit of a coup anyway.

It's a list that could've been drawn up by anyone with a passing interest in this club.

I’m convinced kyril did ok in his interview with Roy I reckon speakeasy shat himself at how knowledgeable and focussed he was.
the delay now is due to kyril spending days trying to calm speakeasy down getting him to stop crying and helping him pick his toys up.

More like negotiating with Speakman to terminate his contract!

This was what I stupidly though. Talk of Lennon or McCann is utterly depressing thought

Question: With all the manager changes the last 4 or 5 years at SAFC, why is Keane the top/hot candidate now and not before? I don’t have an answer or anything just curious of what changed for the club or Keane for this to happen?

If it is McCann, I’d honestly rather have kept Johnson.
To be fair, I'd have taken a gamble on McCann.

I was 99% certain Johnson wouldn't get us through the play-offs. Somebody else, who can manage game to game, might. I don't know an awful lot about McCann to be honest but he's at least got promotion on his CV.

This time last week, I'd have taken him.
