I heard he moved Keane’s first interview back by a week cos he was Struggling to find time to complete his daily Wordle

It beggars belief mate
Apparently he has all the applicants stood side by side wearing flat caps. And he’s putting a presentation together to present to KLD, to see who best to appoint.

Probably try and back track on some of the things they’ve originally promised him and seeing if he’ll do it for a bit cheaper… a bit like when you get an offer on dragons den then totally disrespect it by asking another dragon if they’d be willing to match the offer
If there’s any truth in that and I was of Roy Keanes stature in the game it’s “ I’m sorry but I’m out”!

if it’s true that there’s a second round of interviews then the club are showing an incredible lack of awareness of the urgency of our situation. If we had a competent caretaker, someone who’d done it before, then fair enough but we haven’t.

If Keane wants the job the only things they should be discussing are his contract details.
Whilst surrendering 6 valuable points to inferior opposition, Keane should have been on the training ground Monday morning after Johnson was sacked, remarkably pathetic the way this is dragging on

because the lift wasnt fixed but the money spent

but thats simply not right..interviews happen...everton certainly ran interviews for their last two appointments for example..
92 clubs in English league football Charlie ... even the Rooney rule has a get out for stat appointments......and read what i said.... i was talking about second interviews mostly......i stick by my estimates and i dont disagree that interviews do take place i just think most positions are 99% decided before they take place!

Interesting that. Heard something similar.

I heard that if they can’t find someone who looks good enough in one, they’re going to retire flat caps like he did with Jude Bellingham’s number

To be fair, I don't want Speakman out and I think his recruitment has been pretty good, but he has to take some blame for going into it with no head coach of any experience.
His recruitment has been good, with the glaring omission of a big hard athletic bloke in central midfield.

We've been soft there for ages and getting horribly exposed this season.

Ball playing technicians are great, but when we are up against 3rd division physical direct opposition we need to earn the right to play.

Also playing on a ploughed field at the SOL doesn't help.

Hopefully the new lad from Fleetwood will be the solution.
