If he gets the job then we'll all wish him well but there's not much logic in going after one guy who's been sacked out of club management years ago and now does panto at half time on ITV
Do you think it's logical going for fellas who've already proven not good enough for smaller clubs than us at the level we're trying to get to? Because those appear to be the alternatives.

if it’s true that there’s a second round of interviews then the club are showing an incredible lack of awareness of the urgency of our situation. If we had a competent caretaker, someone who’d done it before, then fair enough but we haven’t.

If Keane wants the job the only things they should be discussing are his contract details.
Not even that. It’s literally insane that if Roy Keane wants to manage us in league one he hasn’t been appointed yet. He’s the stand out name by a million miles, it’s absolutely bonkers that he hasn’t been appointed yet.

Telephone call would be way to sort that !?

My thoughts marra
What they going to ask they couldn’t in the first
Probably try and back track on some of the things they’ve originally promised him and seeing if he’ll do it for a bit cheaper… a bit like when you get an offer on dragons den then totally disrespect it by asking another dragon if they’d be willing to match the offer

yes..thats why he is being so carefuland doing multiple interview rounds
Thats how we ended up with Johnson by the way.
I don't disagree with any of this, and I get why people are so pissed off. I am too. I just don't think it's helpful when some others on here are chatting absolute shite out of a combination of irritation and boredom. As ever, we know very little about what goes on at board-room level, and it's almost certainly far more boring than it is usually described on here.
Aye fair enough. Lets see how the next day or two pan out.

If Roy Keane wants the job just give him it and stop wasting time that we don't have ffs.
None of us know what the current status is. Roy Keane has not said he wants the job. He said it all depends ... He might have gone away to think about an offer made or other stipulations to protect the club. He may be thinking about the ramifications of moving his wife up here. Are there children and grandchildren to consider in all of this? Meanwhile the club would do the right thing to interview other potential candidates for the post otherwise they would be failing to cover all the bases if Keane doesn't take the job.
