Thing is even some good professionals may not like him. Jon Walter's is said to be a great pro, Keane got a bee in his bonnet. I just feel quite a few of them will be nervous about this appointment
This is why his number two is important, it can't be someone weak who just says 'you heard the gaffer'. A bit of good cop bad cop is needed.

I once took my then 12 year old son along to see the lads training at the AOL back in maybe 2007 when you were still allowed to and got to meet Grant, Steed, Kieran etc.

Roy came off the pitch and had a photo taken with my lad.

I am the last person in the world who would ever be impressed with any so called “celebrity” (I’ve met a few) but that day as Roy walked away after the photo I thought hmm that was different.

He definitely has a presence about him.
Me and my pals used to go and watch them train around the same time, some of them went to just walk straight past us when we were asking for autographs. Keano seen and wasn’t impressed made like 3/4 them come back and said we’d been standing waiting ages in the freezing cold and to sign our stuff and get photos. Those were the days😎
