He made it pretty clear he didn't want to go there permanently, hence the reason a loan was their only option. If West Ham were interested (which by all accounts they were), there'd be absolutely no incentive for him to choose the mags over them - they couldn't even offer him piles of blood money since it's a loan and his wage couldn't be increased from his current one.

Maybe he really, really wanted to stare at that bridge, though.
Man Utd kept him after the Mason Greenwood situation. Mind they said they couldn't agree anything with other clubs anyway.

Hasn’t been mentioned once since the takeover.

Funny that.
They had over 100,000 names to complain to the Government saying this takeover should go through. I have asked a few times on here but not one mag has admitted to signing anything. They all do the "It's not up to us who takes us over. We can't affect that" They all signed it but won't admit it as it shows they pushed for these exact owners . The ones who make Fred West and Jack the Ripper look like choir boys

The saudis are medieval savages. They got the only club worthy of them.

The replies man. They think he’s bereft because he didn’t sign for them. Thick as pigshit

My take on this is that if Man Utd let him go on loan in this last six months - well last 22 weeks I think it is - then it sends a signal to any player that all you have to do is sit tight until Christmas, making the right noises that you might sign an extension, then come January you can go on loan and get match fine then come end of the season get a bumper signing on fee.

And it wasn’t just a complaint either. It included absolute lies that glorified Bin Salman and his regime. Human rights activists were shocked when they read it:

Imagine endorsing something like that just to try and get your football team from mid table to top 4. You’d have to be so pathetic, depraved and dishonest, yet 130k mags still did it.
