It’s always been about money for them. Could spend big on any player and they think it’s great. Makes them feel more relevant paying big fees
Absolutely. They’ll win nowt but be trumpeting about how much Saudi blood money was wasted on them. They don’t care that they’ve been seen coming and ripped off, it’s all about what’s been spent.

He seems like a nice lad. I kind of hope he was wanting to go to West Ham not the murder-appeasers
He made it pretty clear he didn't want to go there permanently, hence the reason a loan was their only option. If West Ham were interested (which by all accounts they were), there'd be absolutely no incentive for him to choose the mags over them - they couldn't even offer him piles of blood money since it's a loan and his wage couldn't be increased from his current one.

Maybe he really, really wanted to stare at that bridge, though.

Yeah. Think he would have gone to London if West ham weren't in competition for fourth and Greenwood hadnt got in bother
