Was just thinking about young Matete, one week you are playing for Fleetwood under Stephen Crainey in front of 3,000 fans then the following week in the dressing room with Defoe and possibly Keane with 30k+ crowd.

Closer to 40k imo if what has been said is true and RK announced tomorrow.

I thought he did a cracking job with us. Staying up after a promotion to the prem is hard. He admitted he got recruitment wrong at Ipswich.
He kept us up with two games to go. Yes I was happy with that though we got some maulings. We looked worse the following season. I quoted our first season as being successful but no-one has mentioned any successful managerial role since

I'm as excited as the next man, I just think there will be a few players apprehensive about this one. I hope we get him mind
Why would they be apprehensive…..he is a legend and most of the squad are young uns who should be inspired by him…..I am sure Embleton and Neil will………not so sure about Flanagan but he must have got wind Keano was coming or why else would he scarper to Shrewsbury ;)

A few apprehensive players is quite different to 'everyone of them players bar a few'.
Good to see you warming to Roy like our players will.

Yep, Sleeves tells a story about how Kavanagh had a go at someone at half-time the next game after Keane had said the above to the squad.

Keane knew Kav was playing up and said something like "sit the fuck down Graeme" and cut him dead

Its on here, hilarious, the one about Nyron at around 42 mins is brilliant as well mind :D

Keane loves no one but himself, why are people so blinkered, except getting us promoted and would have took us down, what had he done, I remember reading how awful he was with Ipswich players, sadly players today are snowflakes and don't like being shouted at , bless it's managers like Klopp and pep who visibly put an arm around players and encourage, the strong , and man's football of the great bygone era has gone, keane is not a manager for today's players, time will tell and I will gladly put to shame if
They need to grow a pair.
