I went to a CL game v Bayern on a freebie and the atmosphere was flat as a pancake.

I actually don't think they will emulate City due to the massive head start teams have on them. They will no doubt go up the league and finish 7th or so....meanwhile "I canna get a ticket man cos aal them toorists buy them" will be heard some time down the line.

Spot-on fella. We are all (with the exception of people like him) the same really. From a fairly deprived area, we love our teams, like a pint and a bit crack etc.
For the record, I pay very similar to yourself anyway, not that it matters.
Its a really strange thing to brag about.
