Probably a bit harsh butbut I haven't noticed any improvement in any player in the 2 years he's been here. Zero charisma. Why would you want rid of Franklin???

good example. Debut 2017 yet selected <50% of CC games under Franklin.Potts?

time will tell which one of us is correct. That's if Franklin is still with us.That's deliberate though, and you could argue he has improved as a white ball bowler because of that, get 100 and franchise deals

They undoubtedly are but that's the remit of the new fitness coach not Franklin. One thing I have noticed under the North/Franklin regime is how fitter and more athletic the team look especially in the field. I know it's about runs and wickets but senior players like Lees look in better condition as do some younger players such as Trevakis.
Yes but that's down to recruitment of senior players e.g. Lees, Raine, Eckersley which was necessary after the sanctions and predated Franklin. More recently Bedingham looks a superb capture but Dickson, Coughlin, and to a degree Borthwick, less so. Franklin has been here 3 years and no academy players have come through -Carse and Potts predate Franklin.Have you noticed an improvement in the team though…?
But by your opinions then others get credit for the positives but Franklin gets the stick for the negatives. They undoubtedly are but that's the remit of the new fitness coach not Franklin.

True, very much hope he proves me wrong. But by your opinions then others get credit for the positives but Franklin gets the stick for the negatives.

I definitely think that he could have been more positive with Trevaskis in championship cricket especially over the past 2 seasons. I know it's difficult to play a slow bowler in April in England and probably at the Riverside all season but with Eckersley at 6 I think they could have developed Trevakis as an all rounder possibly batting at 7 or 8 and still played 4 frontline seamers. The bulk of the current team were proven players before they came to Durham.
I've given credit to those responsible for the positives and criticised Franklin for a lack of academy progression. Promotion this season would be rightly attributed to him.
Yes,Trevaskis finished top of the batting averages,a bit flattering but proof that he's no mug with the bat. Poytner's early season inclusion stunk of nepotism to me and sowed my first doubts about Franklin.I definitely think that he could have been more positive with Trevaskis in championship cricket especially over the past 2 seasons. John Windows is the senior coach in the Academy and has been for the past 20 years so nothing has changed there.I'm assuming Franklin selects the 1st team squad and therefore determines who progresses to the first team.Should that criticism not be directed more towards the bloke in charge of the academy

We clearly differ on the merits of Franklin. Best leave it there.
