Definitely.

If you haven’t seen “13 Days” or “The War Game”, I can get them to you on DVD if you PM me with your post address.

And you are are not right bright You think that’s clever do you? You should keep off the drink.
Bury your head in the sand if you want to.

Much like with Crimea, if Vlad wants to do anything he probably will, and receive sanctions.

Cheers MM that's real nice of you, but my box is full...I'll find them online maybe.

Yep. dunk on alcohol, drunk on power, out of control, start a war, lose the war you started....what a dumbass species we are.

I was gonna book a long weekend in Kiev/Chernobyl at the beginning of March. Anyone reckon I should still risk it?
I'd say it comes down to Zelensky and what he's prepared to risk in order to stay in power.

There's a good chance the missiles will be let loose on Kiev if he starts slaughtering Russians in the East. I think Biden's statement was a message to him as much as Russia - NATO will stay on its path to bring the Stans into its orbit but Ukraine mustn't do anything stupid to provoke Putin, the game is not to risk US lives in doing so.

Let's see if Germany imposes sanctions as a preventative rather than reactive measure. They're under pressure to, though I've never known it to be carried out on a nation for a military invasion that hasn't happened.

Germany is in a shite position, it has invested a fortune in Nordstream 2 and face an energy supply crisis without it - that's a genuine national security threat.

I presume the source of Western Europe’s gas supplies has most countries in nato by the short of curly’s…

Fascinating that Schroeder who green lit the orignal one is the guy running this now, or is very close to the top of gasprom (as I understand it).

Following the money and cronyism is always fascinating. But Germany is a long way down the road now and wedded to that arrangement regardless of Schroeder's personal interest which I think extended to a job on the committee of a joint German/Russian company set up see the project through.
