Scouse mackems ?? Does that mean they are equivalent to Liverpool 😂😂😂😂
Never really get the “Scouse Mackem” bollocks. Everton are a great club, with good fans. I know there has been a lot of bother between us and EFC over the years however I have worked with a few Evertonions, of similar age, and none of us have any idea when it started or why.
I assume those who spout this also rate City as Manc Mackems, Spurs as North London Mackems.
Utter tosh. Spouted my children and morons on Twitter.
And this, in a nutshell, is why most people are coming round to the idea of that lot being a load of self-entitled, snidey, arrogant bellends.

Back in the day, I used to know a canny few Manchester City fans, and the general consensus amongst them when they were taken over by their current owners was along the lines of, "Well, it's great that we've been taken over and all, but we're City. We'll probably find a way to balls it up."

This lot though, despite winning the square-root of f***-all for the last sixty years, seem to think that it's a given that they're going to be steam-rollering over all and sundry.

Oh, how I would laugh my bollocks off if it all turns sour and they end up right in the shit. It'd be no less than the bastards deserve, to be honest.
This is exactly what I thought, still do.
Another corker....

The difference between us and them is that they have no potential. Spending money there won’t generate any momentum. Nobody really cares. Small fanbase etc etc.
Spending money on our club will generate huge momentum, a huge fanbase etc etc. A successful NUFC could play in front of 70, 80 thousand fans easily.
Is this referring to Everton???

It shows just how deluded they are that they think they're a bigger club than Everton, a club that has had far more success than them.
I just had a quick look at the tramps comment and I don't know what this 'Scouse Mackem' nonsense is all about.
He sees them as being in the same bracket as Liverpool I.e the more successful club between 2 rivals. He sees Everton as being like us. He's the worst kind of Mag and ironically has been taken in by the Keegan years and Geordie Nation bollocks. He's in his 60s so should know better. I don't know 1 Mag in their 60s who peddles this bollocks and I know a few.

Yes..that is GToon comparing NUFC and EFC.

I remember an Evertonian coming back from an away game c1995 and to use a scouse phrase "there was murder". Don't know if that is where it comes from.

why do they need a relegation clause? they have billions that they can throw away. 50m for hazard + wages for 3 years even if 1 is in the championship why do they care if they get nothing back? they can spend 100m replacing him.

In the Championship, players won' be playing to a global audience of 10's millions every game, it will be 10,000's on iFollow unless it's one of their few games on Sky. Also their personal sponsorships/deals/perks potential won't be anywhere near what they are for PL players. This is also ignoring the fact they won't be winning anything in the near future so a player who wins stuff regularly will be giving that up.

There's probably more things, such as location being up here away from the main nucleus of multi millionaire players at 'big' clubs for example. These are a few possible reasons as to why they'll struggle to sign players given the big threat of relegation. If the Mags stay up then some players opinions may well change in the summer but not all. It may well take at least another season in PL and no threat of relegation before players wanting to win things (Cups realistically) may consider going there.

They got Trippier but didn't he want to be in the North but he's worked with Howe before also. Whose to say they didn't offer him a multi million £ bonus if they stay up? They went for a 'name' early as they could well have thought by getting Trippier in that other 'names' would follow. It doesn't look like that's going to happen as they're getting knocked back all over. Aye they got Wood in but he has the same agent as Trippier and had that release clause. They may well get a few more players in but it will no doubt cost them chunks of their FFP limit and players will be coming for the money, not necessarily the shirt and to win things.

Will the Toon Army be patient enough though as there's already grumblings as we've seen. No doubt some are just focusing on the wealth of the owners and think it's as easy as throwing money around yet it's not that simple at all.

Well GToon is a f***ing moron. We are, on every unit of measure, smaller than Everton.
Might be 1995, not sure, but I do recall they turned up on Westgate Road outside the old Trafalgar bar and caused mayhem before a game. Biggest ‘mob’ I had, or have, seen at Newcastle.
I work now with a LFC fan and he always says “I don’t know why but Everton are always underestimated”.
I have been to Goodison Park, probably a dozen times, and never had anything other than a warm welcome. Funny how when you turn up, say hello, and just talk football you get no hassle!!!!

The huge difference is that Man City went daft from 2008 to 2017 and basically bought the success. The Mags can spend 'big' with investment but not to the levels Man City did, even if they try to work around FFP.
