I only ever go there when you post a link but one name always seems to be commenting - Bazooks.

Here is a line from him:

"Everton had a great side in 1970, and were also excellent between 1984 and 87. Them halcyon days will never ever return for them.
Looking at bigger clubs than Everton, I think that Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and even bang-average Spuds, will ultimately be the ones that will suffer at the hands of a resurgent Newcastle United in seasons to come."

Apart from being illiterate how deluded. They actually won the league....unlike the mags in their halcyon days!

But this is the same poster who wrote to Tony Cascarino inviting him to a get together of Newcastle fans who came to our game v Gillingham back in '87.
He's a tosser

It shows just how deluded they are that they think they're a bigger club than Everton, a club that has had far more success than them.
I just had a quick look at the tramps comment and I don't know what this 'Scouse Mackem' nonsense is all about.

Bellends have zero self awareness. It’s like Rafa Benitez calling a fat Spanish waiter a fat Spanish waiter.

I think they perceive themselves to be the Liverpool and us Everton in the relationship!

I wish we had only spent four seasons outside the top div in our history and won a league, FA cup and ECWC in my lifetime.

Their current ground is a dump I must say but their new ground will make it the best away game of the season. Drop your bags at the hotel, pub crawl along the waterfront en route to the game.

This sums up that the takeover is not what they were expecting. Staveleys excuse is that players aren't willing to agree to a relegation clause so the club walk away. Hopefully they carry on with this policy but I think it goes much deeper than that given their awful owners
why do they need a relegation clause? they have billions that they can throw away. 50m for hazard + wages for 3 years even if 1 is in the championship why do they care if they get nothing back? they can spend 100m replacing him.

Exactly, unless they haven't got unlimited funds.🤔

and what would a relegation clause save them? if wood is on say 100k a week and it goes down to 50k thats a whopping 2.6m saved. 5 players like that - about 10m. richest club in the world?

I can't remember much about hum tbh...in the depth of my mind I recall he couldn't play due to some minor hand injury
Yes he had either a bruised finger, or toe, that kept him out for months!!!
Was a blessing really as he was shite. Seems we managed to sign the only weak link in a top class back 5……. The Newcastle way really 😁

If Spurs, Everton, Villa were 19th players would still jump go go there

The mags just can’t grasp they aren’t that big a pull it’s not 1995 and the glory days of winning nowt still
I think you are right on Spurs. Everton & Villa no.
Villa now have Gerard and he is certainly a draw but not simply on it being Villa.
I am not, to be clear, suggesting we are as attractive a proposition as the above clubs.
I know !!!!

Another corker....

The difference between us and them is that they have no potential. Spending money there won’t generate any momentum. Nobody really cares. Small fanbase etc etc.
Spending money on our club will generate huge momentum, a huge fanbase etc etc. A successful NUFC could play in front of 70, 80 thousand fans easily.
And this, in a nutshell, is why most people are coming round to the idea of that lot being a load of self-entitled, snidey, arrogant bellends.

Back in the day, I used to know a canny few Manchester City fans, and the general consensus amongst them when they were taken over by their current owners was along the lines of, "Well, it's great that we've been taken over and all, but we're City. We'll probably find a way to balls it up."

This lot though, despite winning the square-root of f***-all for the last sixty years, seem to think that it's a given that they're going to be steam-rollering over all and sundry.

Oh, how I would laugh my bollocks off if it all turns sour and they end up right in the shit. It'd be no less than the bastards deserve, to be honest.
