NUFC Sportswashing 2022

I’m not sure when FFP will kick in, if ever, but buying a plank from Burnley for 25m is one thing, but seriously bidding for a player like Hazard is a bit depressing, even if it was knocked back.

Hopefully if they go down the premier league will have a chance to not readmit them if by that stage it is even clearer that the Saudi state is behind them, (unless that ship has already sailed).

What the hell are they doing? They haven’t got a clue what they are actually trying to achieve. Bidding for any player going isn’t the answer.

Funny how the bid was put in first so it looks good. Surely most clubs just ask the agent "would he be interested? No" "ok"

Probably just making themselves look good after Coutinho went to Villa. Remember this is sportswashing. Headlines of them bidding for players like this is all part of it

Fascinating to see Newcastle's and Sunderland's differing strategies; Newcastle trying to spend money and failing, Sunderland trying not to spend money and succeeding.

Going to end up with Tom Flanagan at this rate . This is 100% not what the unwashed imagined when they became the richest club in the world:lol:

I saw something that said they could spend up to 200m (including wages, although would be aggregated), this season.
You can spend 100m into the red based on your turnover, and newcastle were 100m or so in the black over the previous few seasons apparently.

Might be completely arse mind.

They’ll take that Everton. They need a whole new team if you ask me (our resident Evertonian might say differently).

I don’t credit the Premier League with enough integrity to think that they’ll change their stance

Would be hilarious if the did though!

 Staveley is desperate to be liked, bidding for any big name under the sun.

Honeymoons starting to look over now ,Arabs want results for there money ,they just thought that they would flash the cash and everyone comes running to sign , They are starting to find out this is not the case ,Staveley will have some arkward questions to answer from the Arabs.
She is so out of her depth it's unreal , no director of football appointed still !. ....madness ..
They will get more desperate and pay over the odds for journeymen wanting their last big payday . Location has a lot to do with it as well ,london and the north west , anywhere further up north and its a no go.
Everton have blew 500 million in 5 seasons and look where they are.
The saving grace for us is that the top 6 to 8 clubs will attract the players that the behheaders are chasing. They will get the cast offs and journeymen.

Ship sailed. The PL didn't want them. The Eton Mess ordered them to sanction it after a threatening text about arms trade from MBS.
