Does it need to be if we're making enough electricity?Doesn't make your boiler work, it's gas that's the problem
Does it need to be if we're making enough electricity?
As in our total energy bills would be lower and new homes could be electric. We won't have gas forever anyway20 million homes in the UK would have an energy supply that's not compatible with their heating infrastructure. Would cost some wonga to change them all.
Why can't the government come up with ideas? You're quite openly admitting here the government are clueless and useless.
how about they say a Labour government wouldn't have sold off gas, electric and water ? Are any of them better for being in private, foreign , hands ?Because it's a national crisis and Labour should be mature enough to see looking after people should be more important than playing politics. Who cares about votes like you said we're nowhere near an election to spin it the right way around.
Coming out in 12 months time saying, 'if we were in power we would have done this,' stinks and is more in hindsight which they've been getting burdened with anyway. People first, politics second.
The government has come up with ideas, they just aren't very good ones. If there are any better ones out there then let's hear them.
I'm quite happy to admit that the the government are often clueless and useless. Doesn't take an expert political observer to see it. Steve Wonder could tell you that.
So now it's Labour's fault that there is an energy crisis and its up to them to sort it out despite the Tories being in power for 11 years. This place, full of absolute weapons.
is it ? wish my bill was this cheapMonthly direct debit for gas and electric combined for a 3 bed is about £120
yeah just an averageis it ? wish my bill was this cheap
For all those posters basically saying Labour should sort it out. Here you go:
Labour urges energy firm tax hike to help cut household bills
The party says a windfall tax could soften the the impact of surging household costs by £200 a year.www.bbc.co.uk
At least they've offered a plan, which is more than the government has done so far.
Just make sure you're sending in monthly meter readings so that they're using your actual usage, not estimating based on previous tenants. Whoever lived in our flat before us must have slept with all the lights on to get the electric bill so high.We just moved into a 3-bed semi on Friday. Just rang Octopus and they have put me on direct debit, based on the previous owners usage over the past 12-months. (They worked from home and had a child, we don’t) so I’d be surprised if we used as much.
£115.36 on the flexible rate. They offered me a fixed tariff of £190 but went with the flexible and going to wait and see what happens… I was expecting to pay more than £115
Will do. I’m just worried something seems wrong, as I was expecting it to be more than £115 a month, so don’t want to actually end up paying a load more out of nowhere.Just make sure you're sending in monthly meter readings so that they're using your actual usage, not estimating based on previous tenants.
