It is faux outrage. 90% of the posters in here have never once mentioned the atrocities in Saudi Arabia before our takeover. They use it as a means to berate all Newcastle fans now because it's easy - they don't actually care though about the human rights issues or they would organise a palace/Boro like display.
.. Thought you weren't defending them .. Doesn't matter how you frame it, you are just another piece of atrocity enableing shit ..

Mag in pieces

Getting excited about a 31yr old RB raking it in on his last pay day

This will be the worst side he’s played in, in what 8yr ?

Because I tried to give an example from your squad that would show that stats could be misleading. I knew Dan Neil was thought of highly so picked him. Obviously, it was very poorly researched on my part and I put my hands up. I could have picked better to emphasise the point but I stand by the fact that stats can be misleading. Statistically, Lampard was a better attacking midfielder than Iniesta - he scored a lot more goals. That doesn't make Iniesta a shit player.

f***ing hell better players - Luke Shaw 🤣 he's had one good tournament and can't even get in the Man Utd team.
Wasn't it a thread about us saying Dan neil is worth more than £3m?

Luke Shaw is a better player than trippier.

Wouldnt he cost more than £12m and wages than trippier? After all, you said age didn't matter.

Probably for the racist comment you made about someone's hair mate.

How many apart from the ones he's played. FML

Hes given up his Internstional career.

Moving from top 4 La Liga and knockout stages of the Champions League to a team who can’t defend for toffee and a manager who concedes more than he scores.

He’s over the hill. 32 by the start of next season and you lot are giving him 160k a week. What a bargain. What ambition. Any other over the hills looking for a final payday?

There is absolutely no point at all in anyone trying to convince themselves that Trippier isn't a good signing for the Mags.

Unfortunately, he is.
Hardly anybody has claimed he isn't a good signing, he is. But people are just saying he's not worth what they're paying him. They also need a left back and centre back more than a right back.

Hes a good signing but to argue he's worth 150k a weekcis just wrong.

This is where a takeover like the Mags one during mid-seasom can cause difficulties.

95% of that squad know that they will be replaced and out the door at the earliest possible opportunity. And the manager won't be too far behind.

You will definitely get a few players, some of whom the Mags will need to persist with until at least the summer, who realise this and will mail it in thinking sod that.

I'm sure some will say "it's the same at any club" and "players will always want to do their best to prove to themselves blah blah blah", but that's not comparing like-with-like.
The massive takeover thay concluded Eddie howe was the best they could get?
