Sunderland music thread

Thanks again for all your information, especially the Metro timings, as it's website has confused me a bit !
Yes, got our tickets. Great to see that young, local talent are the support artists.
Perhaps they could ask the Cabbage lads why they are disbanding ? As only a couple of years ago they seemed destined to "make it". As far as I'm aware, they haven't toured for a while so something has gone wrong for them...
Dunno, they brought out an album last year too I think. According to this article they have 'fresh musical projects' ahead as well as running a recording hub. Maybe it's just not paying the bills...probably a very common and difficult place to be as a band, not quite big enough to do it as a sole source of income, therefore hard to go off touring a lot, even though still popular enough to be getting airplay and selling a few albums and decent venues to play at.

Field Music tweeted this:

Here's something different. My mates band Dark Saints and the cracking song And the Cities Will Be Your Tombs. He asked me to edit together loads of cheesy 80s slasher films for a video. He also makes an appearance in the Jarrow Tunnel (meant to look like an 80s VHS). This is just a teaser and full one isnt released yet.
