I suspect a lot of the Omicron cases will be do to targeted tracing rather than from mass testing. I got pinged last week for a PCR following a flight back from Portugal despite my Day 2 LFT being negative. If one person on the flight tests positive they typically go after the whole plane. That's what the PLF are there for.

Quite possibly, but what has manifested itself on the thread are your own inherent biases - forgoing the content and making assumptions based on who & not what. We all need to try our upmost to maintain objectivity.

He posted a clip , the content of which is childish self entitled bollox, the man has been tweeting that sort of crap for months. Don't try and detract from the stupidness of the tweet by complaining about others who have heard it all before from Fox, pointing out the obvious. Oh the poster himself has a long history on the "Covid" thread of presenting us with links to all sorts of misinformation and lies .

I don't understand the relevance of Laurence Fox and the content of the clip. The clip from the commons would be the same regardless of who posted it. Are you suggesting Laurence Fox has tampered with it and edited the clip so that it is no longer authentic. Sajid Javid has just stated that nobody with Omicron has been hospitalised. That's the key information from the tweet. Make of that what you will. That information is yours to interpret in any way you wish.

Regardless of it being early days, the fact no one is hospitalised surely is a good sign.

Its a very minor and tentative indicator that this variant might be less potent. I'm not sure why garnering some crumb of optimism from the developing picture is upsetting some posters on here.

I’ve seen it multiple times on here lately.
Some of us, you and I included, attempt to post some positivity, but are quickly shot down by those who attempt to post ‘links’ but are under a veil of negativity.
It’s absolutely bizarre. As if they are comforted by somehow being right if things do go tits up. ‘I knew it, I just knew this would happen’
Few posters have been nowhere to be seem for months but are now all over the sub forum again at the first sign of a potential wobble
