Saudi investors pump $144m into London’s office market:

Arab investors have invested £1.2 billion ($1.68 billion) in London’s office real estate market since 2018, with Saudi Arabia accounting for £103 million, according to industry data
.”

And most recently, another Saudi investment up there in the North East which dwarfs the Newcastle deal:

Saudi Arabia's SABIC to invest at Teesside plant in northeast England:

The British government said that Saudi petrochemical firm Saudi Basic Industries Corp (SABIC) would invest nearly 1 billion pounds ($1.37 billion) at its Teesside facility in northeast England with the aim of decarbonisation.

"Fantastic to see nearly £1 billion invested in @SABIC's Teesside facility, creating and safeguarding 1,000 jobs," British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said in a on Wednesday evening.”

Like it or not, the U.K. is awash with Saudi money. Either allow it all, including Newcastle, or reject it all. To pick out one investment (Newcastle) for special criticism looks more like jealousy than concern about human rights.
Agree up to a point, bit football clubs and sport are not normal businesses, they are used as tools for political gain all over the world, in fact it's happened right through history, when Rome was struggling and there was a threat of revolt they would send some poor Christians out to get eaten by lions to distract the masses.

This is literally exactly what the Saudis are doing, it's what Putin has done many times and it's what China does, Hitler tried to use the Olympics to further his agenda, history is repeating itself and which side will Newcastle fans sit on, if this happened in 1935 I'm certain the mags would giving him a standing ovation and blushing like a newly wed bride.

It does run deeper than that as well, they're putting their money so deep into our economic system we will never ever be able to hold them to account for anything, one day in the future we will be completely at their mercy because they can collapse our country with the flip of a switch.

Just like Brexit, just like everything the nation has done for the last 10-15 years we are giving away everything like a closing down sale and it's happening to the sound of people clapping like f***ing idiots.

Christ, I thought @The Fish was a boring ****, this one takes the biscuit.

But but but but but

Those using whatabouttery or the jealousy tag have been thoroughly washed. They are doing exactly what SA wants them to do.

It’s almost like they come on here to satisfy their own moral anxieties to make them feel better about themselves rather than facing up and saying “f@@k it at least we can buy success”

(Which by the way you can’t)

The fans aren't sports washing.
If it's not the fans that's being attacked then that's fine.
If you're attacking the Saudi Arabian regime then fair enough.
I this the case?

Please tell me you're not being serious. The fans are doing the dirty work in trying to clean the image of the saudi state on a daily basis. They jump on any critical voice of tbe regime en masse.

They are heavily involved in sportswashing of the saudI regime and to suggest otherwise is f***ing crackers.

Sweet Jesus. You really aren't grasping it, are you?
Did this lad and his mates sign a petition demanding Saudi ownership of any company they invest in?
Does anyone who watches Disney films or rides in an Uber take to social media to vehemently defend Saudi Arabia's involvement and cite other companies they may be involved with, claiming bitterness if anyone criticises the regime?

Tbf mate you're arguing with someone who believes the earth is flat.

It was pleasing to hear Richard Jobson remind the audience about the owners murderous reputation at The Skids gig in Newcastle last night. He made a Sunderland reference earlier which got boos and shouting, but those comments were met with silence (other than my applause).

I wouldn’t want the PIF or anything similar anywhere near us but I would be reluctant to take lectures from Richard Jobson. I bought Days in Europa when it came out and the Aryan/Nazi imagery stank then as much as it does now.

Exactly the same, millions of words shat out with nothing being said

It’s almost as if he enjoys arguing for the sake of it

If it's attention he needs, sitting in roads to block traffic seems to work well. At least something productive might even come out of it.

Loads of them knackers doing it down south one glued his face to the ground.

I'd have pulled his pants down and let a dog bum him.

Punishment fits the crime and he wouldn't do it again.

Just when you thought mags couldn't get worse..

Sportswashed mags and the whataboot brigade comes to town :lol

Saw one glue his hand to a police van last week. Making everyone in the country hate you is a bizarre way to go about getting something you want.
