Racism at Yorkshire CCC


The club's head of human resources called a supporter "a coward" and accused the fan - and ex-player Azeem Rafiq - of "waging a campaign" against the club on social media.

In her email on Sunday, Ms Neto told Mr Akram there had been "serious consequences" to him "whipping up a crowd by being selective" with what he circulated.

Her calling him out for being "selective" in the information he presented. Er, hello? :lol:

They asked Root in an interview on sky that having been at Yorkshire since 2007 was he aware of any racism at the club and he said no.

Willingly ignorant, not willing to throw mud on colleagues or perhaps worse?

He’s in a no-win situation imo.

Say yes and he’ll be asked who it was and why didn’t he do something about it himself

Say no and he’ll be accused of brushing it under the carpet.

I’m not defending him at all but the hierarchy at Yorkshire has brought all this on themselves.
 
Hasn't Root been on a central contract for pretty much all of this time ?

How much contact would he have had with the players, coaches and committee at Yorkshire CCC ?

again keen to understand why he is such a bad egg. Been alluded to many times now but he cant have been that much of a knob if they resigned him having originally been released. Surely.

It doesnt jusitfy racism but it’s good to understand the whole picture of the situation.

To discredit him. Same reason these things always come up whenever a person is a victim of racism, sexual assault etc
