Righto. Let's say this discussion did in fact take place. Did they talk about the Saudi investment in other clubs, or just Newcastle? I have no time whatsoever for KSA and wish they hadn't bought us. No ifs, no buts, no excuses. What gets me is the holier than thou attitude of other clubs. People in glass houses and all that.
Before i respond, could you kindly tell us which other clubs you are refering to.

So he obviously agrees with the owners visions for both the present and the future then?
Whatever he's agreed with and whatever the owners have agreed with has resulted in him being handed a 2 and a half year contract which he's signed.
Without that contract in front of us we can only guess at what's on it.
Without us being in that board/interview room, we can only guess on that, too.

Not teaching, discussing. Unlike life in the toon kids aren’t brain washed and are allowed to form their own opinions. What’s up, the tag of being the most despised club in Sunderland not sitting well with you precious lot? Should have thought of that before you threw yourselves on bended knee to the Saudis and the Premier League.

Incredible.

We’ve had mags trying to convince us that they’re happy with Howe, despite being vocal about wanting Mourinho, Conte, Emery etc
Why not be happy with him?
He's a manager and a new hunger can change all kinds. Look at Moyes. Everyone had him down as a knacker.
I'd love Howe to hit the ground running. Time will tell.

He gets my 100% backing just like Mourinho or Conte or Emery or even Rafa, although I wouldn't want Rafa back but would back him if he did until he didn't merit it, like all managers.
We’ve had mags saying that Howe was actually their preferred choice anyway
To be fair any manager other than Bruce at this particular time was fair game for some fans simply because they see Bruce as a Mackem and don't accept him as a Geordie and Newcastle fan as if they get to choose where and what Bruce can and can't be.
Bitterness and nuts.
We’ve even had mags saying that were never really a big fan of Rafa
Me included after seeing the way he started taking the enjoyable football out of the team selection for the main part of a season and only changing up when things started looking dodgy as hell.
I would hate to have him back and would prefer Howe any day of the week but if he did come back I'd have to start with a clean slate with Rafa and hope he did things differently.
I just hope I don't have to start with a clean slate on him and he goes to wherever other than at Newcastle.
But saying that you would have preferred to keep Bruce in place?
This season, yes but his position became poisoned and I think he was suffering because of it to the point of not being as focused as he was. Just my opinion but there you go.
That takes the biscuit.
Not really.
You lot could lie straight in bed.
I can't. Not many can.
Every man and his dog knew that it wouldn't be approved until the piracy issue was sorted out. Surprise surprise that once it was the takeover was approved.

That means that only your new owners knew when the takeover would go through as it relied upon them resoving the issue. Try again mate
I didn't need to try at anything.
It is what it is and the truth is out there somewhere.
We are just playing pass the guess parcel.

Howe is a step up from Bruce IMO. Still think we will go down, but then he could bring us back. We will see how it pans out. He was my choice when Ashley was owner, has worked with lots of the players, knows a relegation battle. Let's see.
