Maybe they could also have debated Israel's appalling human rights record while they were at it? For the record, as I've already stated, I won't be putting my money into the club. I don't support the takeover in any way shape or form, but I'll not be lectured by proxy, via Hertfordshire schoolkids and their teacher. I fully expect it from Sunderland fans, you are our rivals after all, but from others... not so much.
They have discussed the situation in Israel previously, when it was in the news. Each day in form they will take 15 minutes to discuss items that are in the media spotlight, with the form tutor picking what the topic will be. They did it during lockdown and it was quite interesting to listen to. Yesterday was Newcastle’s turn, much to the delight of my Sunderland supporting daughter. For once the whole class was in agreement that Saudi, what they get up to and the takeover are just wrong.

There's nowt clever about it man, all the big names have knocked them back. Unemployed Eddie Howe is the only person interested in the job, oh and so is the bloke who cleans the bogs at Haymarket Metro too apparently, he's next if Howe changes his mind. You can then come back on here justifying how metro bog guy is a really shrewd appointment.
Could very well be but we can only make best guesses at this point in time.

Any elite manager that had taken the job would have lost a lot of respect in the football world. They would have been correctly labelled as a mercenary. And the fact of the matter is, Newcastle are odds on to go down.

Whereas some fans think that a cash injection instantly catapults the club into the top 10 in world football. That can’t happen until the club has reached the top 4 and gone deep into European competitions. Perhaps it could be argued that they are now in the top 50 clubs. That means the pool of managers that will consider joining are second/third tier.

Someone needs to steady the ship and have the club pushing for Champions League before any truly big names would give us the lickings of a dog. There’ll be at least another one or two appointment after Howe before the top boys are interested.

I don't think there would've been. I think you'd have a had a temporary appeasement and a short window of a clean slate to see if he could aid the squad in avoiding relegation.
Bollocks, you lot were on Brucies case from day one. There’s no way losing Emery due to Ashley letting his gob go then ending up with Howe would have been acceptable. Shops would have been screamed at, funerals would have been held etc etc.

He'll be fine. They just want a team that tries. Seems like the trier to me.
Yes like
Trying to be a Manager :D
Trying to sign Mbappe :D
Trying not to get beat every week :D
Trying not to get relegated :D
Trying not to cry when the mags are calling for his head :D
Trying to get a big payout when they sack him in March. :D
