Looking at their fixtures leading up to the next window opening, will Newcastle be so far behind that they'll be an unattractive proposition to potential signings?

Their games up until Jan 1 are:
Chelsea H
Brighton A
Brentford H
Arsenal A
Norwich H
Burnley H
Leicester A
Liverpool A
Man City H
Everton A

Norwich and Burnley ( and maybe Brentford) look to be the only games where you'd say they were probable to get something. If they arse up against one of these teams, they could be going into the transfer window with single figures in the points column.
Hope so.

You have to remember the mags will spend lots in January. Signings like maddison, lacazette, Luis diaz for 70 Mill. Mid table this season.

Clubs can refuse all they want but everyone knows what happens when a player wants to leave , if a player is getting offered a load of money to play for Newcastle it won’t matter if the club want to do business or not as the player will get the move if he wants it. Not one single footballer will give a shit about human rights either if he is getting a big payday.
With the amount of trolling online i think players will be thinking twice about a move to the mags...they will struggle to attract any while this protesting goes on and as the carpenters said its only just begun

I hate the mags as much as anyone else but within the next 5 or 6 years they'll win a major trophy and expand the east stand and gallowgate so capacity will be 70k to 75k
And they'll also continue to celebrate being owned by people who are responsible for murder, torture, and human dismemberment.

You're even subtle btw. You should spend a couple of months making hundreds of posts pretending you're a Sunderland fan like a load of your fellow knackers have.

Big Newcastle thread above this one. Why not just post in there rather than create a new thread about your local rivals? 🤷

We claim they're obsessed with us, going by this forum, looks like the obsession is mutual.

It is but the rest of the country don’t know this, when nation wide radio phone ins refer to the mags and claim all geordies are NUFC fans I never hear Sunderland supporting Geordies correcting them. If they feel so bad about bring lumped in an occasional Geordie voice putting them right wouldn’t go amiss. I can’t do it I’m as I’m a wearsider. Over to you Geordie SAFC fans.
I always pull people up on it and I have been supporting Sunderland nearly 50 years now. I am not however going to ring every bloody phone in as I have better things to do. All I ask is that my fellow Sunderland supporters recognise that we have a sizeable minority of Geordies supporting us and stop assuming we are all mags.

But...but...but...

Good players are going to have other offers. They'll think twice for signing for Newcastle due to the continued media scrutiny (their sponsors could well discourage them). This will likely mean you'll have to pay over the odds on wages if you want to attract anyone decent and then you have to consider FFP constraints.
No they won’t , sponsors , players , managers won’t give a fuck about the Saudis, it’s all about money and it’s only fans of other clubs that care and 90% of them are more bothered about Newcastle becoming a successful club than they are about human rights .

Where's wolfweird????
Tea towel shopping.

No, a lot of other clubs think you've been taken over by murderers.

Which is true.

I know you are only here for bites but I am a pragmatist and honestly think you are too late to the table. Football inflation in terms of wages and transfer fees, and 6-8 clubs who can spend 50m+ means NUFC could spend 1bn and barely make the top half. The new owners are no fools and know the ceiling price of the club is around 1bn. The elephant in the rooms is how will new cash come? If it is new equity then AS and RB's need to stump up the same share to maintain their 10% shares or will the club be saddled with debt? Will this be a loan from PIF or a commercial loan? We are 2 weeks in now and they have managed to sack a manager and clean some windows. Decision making in the Middle East is notoriously slow as they do not empower anyone. Keep coming back but this will not be what you hope.
