I don't agree. There will be loads of footballers (and Managers) who won't want to be associated with a despot regime who carry out genocide and kidnap children. It is not beyond the realms of possibility that players could close ranks. Who wants to be tarred with that brush apart from the Scim that are Mags and mercenaries?
I think it is a case of them trying to convince themselves that all will soon be forgotten and swept under the carpet and players with pedigree will be falling over backwards to join them with the promise of blood tainted riches

That's an horrendous fixture list.

They'll obviously improve in the January window, but hopefully it will be too little too late by then.

Clubs can refuse all they want but everyone knows what happens when a player wants to leave , if a average player is getting offered a load of money to play for Newcastle it won’t matter if the club want to do business or not as the player will get the move if he wants it. Not one single footballer will give a shit about human rights either if he is getting a big payday.
Sorted

But...but...but...

Good players are going to have other offers. They'll think twice for signing for Newcastle due to the continued media scrutiny (their sponsors could well discourage them). This will likely mean you'll have to pay over the odds on wages if you want to attract anyone decent and then you have to consider FFP constraints.

Well I'm prepared to admit that I've never given that much attention to human rights abuses in Saudi or anywhere else for that matter.

However I doubt 99% of the people on here that are criticising Newcastle supporters have done that either, until this deal came along.

Disingenuous, hypocritical and sanctimonious are just three words that spring to mind.

Although if this deal has made people genuinely rethink what the relationship with Saudi Arabia and other countries should be then that has go to be a good thing.
Im not a human rights activist, but I read/watch the news so was aware of what a despicable regime they are.

I hated the prospect of them coming into our game and owning Manchester United when that rumour arose.

It an awful stain on the PL that they now own one of its team. Its an even bigger stain on the NE that so many from the region are actively participating in the sportswashing of their image.

To think that doesn't make me disingenuous, sanctimonious, or hypocritical. In fact to suggest that just is typical of what an absolute mess your support has become. And thanks to your supports reaction to the Palace banner the rest of the country is acknowledging and seeing that now.

Relegation would be down to the mess Bruce and Ashley left the club in but wouldn’t be the end of the world , would just set the club back a year but ultimately with all that money it would only be a temporary blip and winning every week in the championship would be fun.
With which players? No quality would sign for them until promoted. Still have a 25 man squad to get rid of.Can only have 25 registerd players no matter who they sign

Squad was good enough to finish 12th last season despite Bruce. Norwich nailed on for 20th as well so can't see it really if we get a decent manager in.

I think the biggest impact would be the losses in the Championship would fuck up your rosy FFP position. I still think the mags are the least likely of the bottom 6 to go down, they have been shite but are still in the mix, and they'll spend in January.

No, Think they'll manage 3 wins and a couple of draws from that lot and it will be enough to see them close to safety, some awful teams in there again so it will be like last season where 30 points is enough to keep teams up
