If banners are up in every game they play and seen around the world I don't think the PIF would like that image. Just see them fking off eventually.

You have to ask the question what are we as a fan base doing about it. This arrangement impacts on the perception and image of the whole of the north east. Not in my name is my feeling. Hats off to Palace fans for being so organised we look complicit in comparison

I think the answer to this is to have every football match up and down the country display this banner. What are the police going to do - take every club to court? If 99% of the population argue it isnt racist how can it be argued it is. The PL and NUFC dont like it is more to the point.

No issues with the banner or Palace fans, just like with the Man City takeover all the noise will die down eventually and even if it doesn't being hated is fun. I respect the small minority of football fans that are genuine when they say they wouldn’t want the Saudis owning them but the vast majority that pretend they would act any different to Newcastle fans do make me laugh.
Not sure the noise will be going away anytime soon mind.

Your new Overlords are not known for absorbing/ignoring criticism either.

Main sports headline on BBC text service - police investigate banner 🙄
Obviously the Mags want police protection now the poor victimised poppets.
Can’t get other fans to like them so get the police to tell other fans they are not allowed to not like them !!!

As their neighbours I guess we cant be seen as being bitter.

The rest of the football are making a stance so fair play to them.

Sportswashing should not be allowed. The murderous regime arent getting a lot of good publicity at the minute mind.

Whether we like it or not this is in our name, the perception it’s the north east that has welcomed this, at the very least we need to be robust enough to make it clear we as a club and a fan base don’t support this and the media generalisations. Credit to those who wrote to BBC to point out that generalising it as a north east thing is wrong

Right, I've just received a like from @JJH and I feel dirty but probably nowhere near as dirty as he did giving it 🤣

I'm off to bed (or running away whatever).
I only liked your first paragraph regarding using the palace banner at every ground the mags play at.
All else you posted was dog@@@@ 😉

Though to be fair, the PL initially refused the take over on the grounds that the regime willfully turned a blind eye to the prem league's product being pirated into its shores from Qatar via the Bein signal.
The prem league was right in that case. This fit and proper test has never come into it. Even though the PL were within their rights to put the brakes on.

The mags outcry about corruption was unfounded and most would have known but they were happy for it to be used as a pretext to keep the pressure on.

Back to the PL it was all about guaranteeing a new market.
The moment that became a reality with the Saudis taking on rights' licence the PL gave the green light. All about getting their cut.

Looking at PL's rules...

Section F in 20-21 premier league handbook....

'' (Disqualification occurs) in the reasonable opinion of the Board, he/she has engaged in conduct
outside the United Kingdom that would constitute an offence of the sort described in Rules F.1.7.2 or F.1.7.3, if such conduct had taken place in the United Kingdom, whether or not such conduct resulted in a Conviction;"

They've broken their rules though in passing the deal...

" F.1.7.2. in respect of any offence involving any act which could
reasonably be considered to be dishonest (and, for the avoidance of doubt, irrespective of the actual sentence imposed)"

You're right, not a squeak though from the mags even though every team should be up in arms not just the our. A blight on an existing stain
Boris Johnson needs to be asked the question “Did bin Salman personally contact you and/or any Government minister and instruct you to tell the Premier League to pass this takeover and threaten you with trade sanctions if you refused?”.

It cannot go away until answered.

Unfortunately I think this is true. The local politicians have seen to that. Even the MPs down in Stockton and Bishop Auckland got involved ffs, throwing their weight behind that ridiculous petition glorifying Bin Salman.

The full list of MPs who have asked the Premier League for transparency or expressed support for the NUFC Trust are as follows:

● Ian Mearns (Labour – Gateshead)
● Kate Osbourne (Labour – Jarrow)
● Chi Onwurah (Labour – Newcastle Central)
● Sharon Hodgson (Labour – Washington and Sunderland West)
● Liz Twist (Labour – Blaydon)
● Ian Levy (Conservative – Blyth Valley)
● Alex Cunningham (Labour – Stockton North)
● Emma Lewell-Buck (Labour – South Shields)
● Catherine McKinnel (Labour - Newcastle upon Tyne North)
● Richard Holden (Conservative - North West Durham)
● Ian Lavery (Labour - Wansbeck)
● Mary Kelly Foy (Labour - City of Durham)
● Dehena Davison (Conservative - Bishop Auckland)
● Mary Glindon (Labour - North Tyneside)
● Anne-Marie Trevelyan (Conservative - Berwick Upon Tweed)
● Kevan Jones (Labour - North Durham)
● Kevin Hollinrake (Conservative - Thirsk and Malton)
● Guy Opperman (Conservative - Hexham)
● Alan Campbell (Labour - Tynemouth)

The ironic thing is had the Saudis bought any other English Club, the Mags would be saying exactly what every other club in the country is saying. Similar to the ESL they shouted because they weren't invited. The PL were corrupt. Apparently not any more. Biggest set of wankers in the world. Now disciples of monsters who commit genocide and many other atrocities. It wouldnt surprise me if they declared the Shit tip as a Vatican like state, where Saudi law ensues. And the sick twats would go along with it as they have "hope"

The UAE dances to the Saudi tune and is very dependent upon it's relationship to KSA. The Saudi's stopped flights to Qatar...so did UAE. KSA is the dominant force, the home of Mecca and UAE is a mere gnat in comparison. UAE/Dubai wasn't some unknown place, it is a holiday destination. I don't think it will die down like City.

The Mags are truely awful. They always seem happy to give it out but run off to tell if it's given back.

Let's not forget that despite their constant vile chanting, they rang the police when Sunderland were chanting about Steven Taylor.
Or how they lie in wait on derby days in Newcastle to harass and pick off small groups of Sunderland fans, but are on the phone to the Old Bill if they get chased back inside a pub. Shithouses.

Can the police not investigate Newcastle's owners?
They certainly never turned out en masse to close front SAFC’s main groups coming out of central station. FTM

Sharon Hodgson is a Mag representing a Sunderland constituency. Needs confronting…

It's not a deflection at all. I actually applaud the Palace fans for taking a stance. Especially for challenging the PL who we all know are corrupt as fuck and who we (newcastle fans) have fought against hard to highlight this. I just think fans need to be careful because otherwise this may just continue to stoke the race baiting that already goes on in pockets of all supporters. We already have emboldened fans on here being racist and having posts deleted, I don't think we need to give anyone the excuse to spew their hatred in this manner.

That’s a well made point but it remains the case it’s the EPL actions and indeed that of the Saudi leaders that are creating this situation. That extremists will jump on the bandwagon should surprise no one. Decent people can’t stop protesting against evil because of that consequence

Posts galore removed on BBC Sport due to being potentially upsetting to the little petals.

Their responses are everyone is jealous of them but when people respond they get removed.
