The fact he mentioned he's received assurances his position was safe was telling. What if the new bloke wants his own staff? Could be some disruption behind the scenes.Bang on. He was in bruce's lug every time he knew the camreas were on him. Slimeball.
Brilliant summary.A few of the dullards seem to think the argument is that SAFC fans are better than those of other clubs. It’s not, it’s that the mags are worse. They’re a bunch of attention seeking wacky arseholes who can’t help but embarrass themselves constantly. Whether it’s mock funerals, punching horse and shouting at shops or weird fancy dress at any opportunity. I don’t think they can argue anyone else goes on like that.
They simultaneously take themselves far too seriously and act like absolute clowns. Truly a special breed….which they always go on about, until you point it out and then “we are no different to you lot”.
It’s unbelievable. Pathetic. Go and enjoy your riches/sky sports wankfest.Imagine sitting writing paragraphs upon paragraphs of complete and utter shite on your rivals forum![]()

@The Fish
Despite someone two posts above saying he knew him and he never attended once?Just watched the whole press thing on nufc.co.uk and he never put a foot wrong in the interview. His knowledge about players from the 70s/80s seemed pretty good. Can't hold a candle to you lot as some of you appear to have more of interest in Newcastle than some Newcastle fans. The quote about watching supermac from the paddock might have thrown a few of you younger ones.
Oh I’d rather be a Mackem than a SaudiHave you ever seen a Saudi beg a mag..
Have you ever seen a Saudi beg a mag..
No you'll never see a Saudi, never see a Saudi, never see a Saudi beg a mag..
INFIDELS!
Brilliant isn't it
They would have been hoping everyone be gutted and jealous. Telling people they are jealous but know deep down they have made absolute mugs of themselves.
Came too far now and have went all in so no going back and they know it.

Can you hear the Saudis sing, no oh!

Saudis here, Saudis there,
Beheading innocent people everywhere, la la la la la la la…
Totally. It’s always felt like posturing to me. Let’s face it, on an inclusion level football is fucked. The fact there’s been barely any publicly gay footballers tells you the culture hasn’t caught up to general societies acceptance of that. It’s weird. It's always felt like a publicity stunt and it's all more or less been confirmed.
You're really not rattled, not rattled at all.Despite someone two posts above saying he knew him and he never attended once?
There's a thing called the internet where stats from the 70s and 80s are readily available.
I could wax lyrical about watching Gary Rowell from the Clock Stand paddocks but it would be bollocks as I never went til the end of '84 and he was a Norwich player by then.
Mind, I could tell you all about Ian Wallace, however (he was shite)
TidiedThis place would be better without the likes of ya f***ing camel nonce

Eh? Rattled about what? You're really not rattled, not rattled at all.

say the right things, to appear like we care about these issues, then just embrace whatever monsters we wish in the name of super Sunday or whatever.
the powers that be treat all of us as if we’re as thick as the thickest numskulls. You know the type. Bottle of brown. Tea towel on head. No ticket for the match.
Sadly, the genie is well and truly out of the bottle mate and PL clubs are mere comodities to peddle to the ever-hungry South East Asian and Arab markets. We, as fans are pretty much inconsequential though the whole Super League crack showed we can still have a certain amount of voice but, as soon as it becomes reality (which it will) and the aforementioned markets are onboard the its game over. It’s not up to me to tell others how to spend their hard earned… but part of the reason I cancelled Sky yonks ago and don’t bother with bother with the champions league is it’s sickening what the money involved has done to the sport we love.
If enough people stopped paying and watching the likes of the Saudi’s would walk away from the mags.
Sky with their hypocrisy are as culpable to the Sportswashing taking place as much as the premier league… stop funding the machine that fuels it all and game could go back to match going supporters.

Also, as been said, the way he undermined Bruce for the cameras was shocking. He literally pushed him out of the way whilst he was talking to a player to put his own oar in th other week. Seemd a proper egotistical wrong un and, St Maximin's tweet about Bruce being such a nice fella suggests it may not be rosy.

I'd love to think so mate. The Germans do it very wellIts a good point about the foreign markets for the PL games. Still think if they we’re enough people who cancelled and stating the reasons they we’re doing so was because Sky have helped ruin football it would at least reduce how much they or Sky competitors pay for PL rights.
Interestingly, the other PL clubs stated they were concerned with brand damage to the PL as a result of the mags takeover a reduction in viewing numbers in the UK would certainly make people take notice.

I’ve chewed over this for over two weeks. Of course I totally disagree with what happens in Saudi Arabia and I’m not happy they’ve bought us. I wish it had been someone else. Almost considered turning my back on my club.
But it’s not because of what happens there, stuff like that happens all over the world that people don’t bat an eyelid about.
Perhaps if we do have a bit of success, it will be “tainted”.
If everyone else hates us, so be it, I couldn’t give a toss.
I’ve supported my club most games home and away since 1972 and seen us win nothing of note.
Its time I had a bit of hope and the haters can go and hate. Couldn’t give a toss.
