The fact he mentioned he's received assurances his position was safe was telling. What if the new bloke wants his own staff? Could be some disruption behind the scenes.

Also, as been said, the way he undermined Bruce for the cameras was shocking. He literally pushed him out of the way whilst he was talking to a player to put his own oar in th other week. Seemd a proper egotistical wrong un and, St Maximin's tweet about Bruce being such a nice fella suggests it may not be rosy.

I could wax lyrical about watching Gary Rowell from the Clock Stand paddocks but it would be bollocks as I never went til the end of '84 and he was a Norwich player by then.

Totally. It’s always felt like posturing to me. Let’s face it, on an inclusion level football is fucked. The fact there’s been barely any publicly gay footballers tells you the culture hasn’t caught up to general societies acceptance of that. It’s weird.

say the right things, to appear like we care about these issues, then just embrace whatever monsters we wish in the name of super Sunday or whatever.

It’s not up to me to tell others how to spend their hard earned… but part of the reason I cancelled Sky yonks ago and don’t bother with bother with the champions league is it’s sickening what the money involved has done to the sport we love.

If enough people stopped paying and watching the likes of the Saudi’s would walk away from the mags.

Sky with their hypocrisy are as culpable to the Sportswashing taking place as much as the premier league… stop funding the machine that fuels it all and game could go back to match going supporters.

Sadly, the genie is well and truly out of the bottle mate and PL clubs are mere comodities to peddle to the ever-hungry South East Asian and Arab markets. We, as fans are pretty much inconsequential though the whole Super League crack showed we can still have a certain amount of voice but, as soon as it becomes reality (which it will) and the aforementioned markets are onboard the its game over.

Its a good point about the foreign markets for the PL games. Still think if they were enough people who cancelled and stating the reasons they were doing so was because Sky have helped ruin football it would at least reduce how much they or Sky competitors pay for PL rights.

Interestingly, the other PL clubs stated they were concerned with brand damage to the PL as a result of the mags takeover a reduction in viewing numbers in the UK would certainly make people take notice.

I’ve chewed over this for over two weeks. Of course I totally disagree with what happens in Saudi Arabia and I’m not happy they’ve bought us. I wish it had been someone else. Almost considered turning my back on my club.
But it’s not because of what happens there, stuff like that happens all over the world that people don’t bat an eyelid about.
Perhaps if we do have a bit of success, it will be “tainted”.
If everyone else hates us, so be it, I couldn’t give a toss.
I’ve supported my club most games home and away since 1972 and seen us win nothing of note.
Its time I had a bit of hope and the haters can go and hate. Couldn’t give a toss.
