Bit strange. Fair enough if they're trying to sneakily sponsor it themselves for a few hundred million, but if it's an actual commercial deal it seems strange since they're meant to be rich as fuck.
Apparently they're so rich they're gonna get a charity put on the front of their shirts like Unicef with Barcelona - likely to be Stonewall from what I've heard

It's actually in keeping with they way they've acted since the takeover.
Low key.
No big announcements.
No high profile management targets.
No high profile player rumours.

Prior to the takeover people we talking about it as if they were planning to do it like the Mansours did at City - nothing they've done or said has remotely hinted at that.

Staveley even talked at 10 years to win something?

Smoke and Mirrors. Don't trust a word of their propaganda

It's been a bit odd. On the one hand a bit understated, no manager immediately ready etc. On the other hand people involved seem to be talking up their chances of being major competitors. Still expect them to fling a fortune at it, doesn't make sense if they don't, maybe they're testing the water to see how much they can get away with, all the clubs will be keeping a close eye on their initial moves

I can't see anything like a DOF, or backroom staff, or big name manager that would actually lead me to believe there'll be a big spending spree.

Christ you patter is f***ing tedious.
You can be the 2nd person I have on ignore on here.

I won't apologise for using words and concepts that you find challenging.

- they hated it when Ashley did this, can guarantee they will be fine with it now
The absolute hypocrites from reading the comments. At the time of the original change to the name it was never to do with the money coming in it was that the heart and soul had been ripped out of the club etc. Suppose they’ve accepted that bit now given the takeover.

can even remember the council saying they’d refuse to change road signs etc.

Leazes Park is the only park in the city centre. Conservation Area and listed. Building on that location would scar the city irrevocably. It won't and should never happen.

However, I do think a successful NUFC could fill an 80,000 stadium and that's the capacity they should aim for if they ever move home.
Well they'd better hope they're not struggling or they'll have to give 40k season tickets away for free.

Mate, as you say they are hypocrites. They are desperate to be relevant and therefore selling the ground name etc, will be seen by many as a small price to pay.

As I posted earlier, the mask is now slipping and the majority now want to be winning the CL within 5 years and be moving into an 80,000 seater stadium
