I'm sure there would be fans who would walk and I think pressure groups would form. From the civil war to the miners strikes (where I believe some pits opened) to this takeover, it's crazy how people only miles apart can be so different. The open letter to Steve Bruce about him hurting the region, the only hurt Sunderland fans are getting from this latest charade is from laughing

"Please don't remind us that our true owner persecutes people, orders bombings of school buses, and has turned our Embassy into Hotel California.

We want everyone to admire us as the got huge club we think we are and you're all spoiling it by not joining in with Sky and the local media sucking up to us."

Hope there are banners, protesters etc at every game they play to remind their head in the sand fans what every point they win has been bought with.

I'm sure there would be, but there would also be some who would act the same way as Newcastle fans, even though they will say otherwise, but to say no fans would act that way would just be naive and untrue.

Just wait until their kids ask their schoolteachers to tell them all about their new owners home country Saudi Arabia and can they go on holiday there. I wonder if the teachers just cover the truth up as well.

Ok. I’ve Said it often enough during the course of this. I wouldn’t set foot in the SOL for the duration of their tenure. My conscience wouldn’t let me.
So let’s get this straight. Fat mick was in your opinion detrimental to your club. So how do you feel about your new owners?
The PIF is administered by saudi government ministers. It’s chairman is bin salman himself.
You don’t agree with acts committed by the Saudis. They own your club. What will you do next? Will you applaud when their representatives show up at the match? Will you go? Will you say and do nothing and just look the other way.
If you’re going to do nothing then I’d respectfully request you don’t come onto a Sunderland message board wringing your hands and bemoaning your fate. By doing nothing you’re as bad as the jesmond jihadis with the tea towels and saudi flags.

Not saying no fans would act that way hopefully the kids who attended the celebration party pictured holding flags were educated when they got home...

A live screening of the dissident projected onto the buildings opposite the stadium ought to do it.

My mate at work drinks with one of the Newcastle players dad, so he sometimes gets info on the mags which I sometimes pass on to my mag mates, for example he was told about Danny Rose signing for them a week before it happened so I passed it on to them, my mag mates think I’m in the know lol, for a laugh I’ve told them that Tony Pulis has been offered a contract till the end of season lol

Course you would. But not everyone is holier than thou like yourself are they. No set of supporters or club are whiter than white, yet you're acting like fans are responsible for who their owners are, could have easily been Sunderland they bought if you were still in the premier League and I'm sure that would be different, because of course it would coz Newcastle fans are bad and Sunderland fans are model citizens who have the highest morals going

To be fair a significant proportion of the fans are responsible. Wasn't there a pressure group set up to get the takeover done? Was there one against it?
