“I think it’s interesting, what’s happening at Newcastle," said Gerrard. "I think if anyone deserves a break it’s the Geordie fans. So I’m sure that excitement levels are very high down on the Toon.”

Why do they deserve a break exactly Steven? What about the fans of Sunderland or Sheffield Wednesday? Derby county or Nottingham Forest?

Blackburn rovers actually won the league and they’ve been out the premier league for nearly 10 years.
If anyone deserves a break????
Fucks sake man 🤮 Teams in Scotland will have a hundred fans turning out in horrific weather week in week out to watch a lower league/semi pro side fight for fuck all.

“They are very good people, they’re very decent people,” said Bruce of the owners.

A question about Saudi Arabia’s dismal human rights record received short shrift. “That’s for the politicians,” he said.

I disagree. If she was horribly disfigured in a fire I’d be calling out the haters. The fact is she paid good money to look like she’s just been shot out of a cannon:

I disagree.

What does her appearance have to do with us disliking Newcastle United or their new ownership?

There’s a man selling his soul. Mind he’s so thick he probably doesn’t realise it. Very much product of H Redknapp school of management.

Could go either way like, but I definitely think the mags have shot their load early. They've been going around with tea towels on their head, signing up here in their droves, I think Sunderland was tending on twitter when it went through. They've been talking about the world class signings they'd like to see, talking about how they're going to be in the elite etc. Annoyingly it might happen. But can you imagine if the plans are nowhere near that grand and they end up still doing nowt. Would absolutely piss myself. Maybe they should have kept their powder dry until they actually did something!

There's every chance they will spend big mind, but I still don't understand the deal. If the Saudis wanted a club they didn't need the Reubens or Staveley. If they have to match their percentage of the money injected then I really don't see how it could work. I mean, the Reubens are rich as fuck but not Saudi rich, and will they be the types to throw money at a club? It'll be interesting at least, but they've yet again shown a very arrogant side and it'll be funny as fuck if it all comes crashing down

Spot on post.

She looks like the dude in men in black (who played private Pyle) when his wife says his skin looks funny then he stretches it back. Fucks sake ladies just grow old gracefully. Us chaps don’t look at the mantelpiece when we’re poking the fire so it’s nowt to do with us. We’d do a barbers floor man. All this needless surgery is madness. Madness i tells thee.

err rant over and the mags are çuntś 👍
Hey, she has a f***ing brain injury. You f***ing bastard. It's makes her face weird and walk like a cowboy. You should apologise.

Hope’s another sycophant with no morals or feelings, accepting these hideous people without question, dreaming of luxury trips to Europe with the Beheaders.
Journalist my arse. Mag wide boy. One day, one day..

Beheaders’ now theres a disparaging reference hard to live down.
‘ this week it’s the Beheaders v the Makems from St Saudi Park.’
Maybe we should drop calling them Mags and use this reference. If nothing else it will be a constant reminder to them of their new heritage

Ive lost interest in the PL for about 5 years now. Its absolutely shit. Only take interest for betting purposes.

Always make time for Sunlun though😎

I’ve felt for ages Iam not sure I ever want to see us back in the prem. I didn’t much enjoy it, the journeyman footballers here today gone tomorrow, the obscene money, the constant struggle. Hated it, watching young lads come through now who you can identify with is a completely different type of football club to follow

But but Mike Ashley pays minimum wage and is a slave worker. Most of them who banged on about that stuff have shown themselves up for what they are, hypocritical bollocks.

I want us there, just because I'd want us to go up if we're in the championship but I know what you mean. This league is f***ing awful, but the championship has canny big clubs, good away days, anyone can win it, its a good competitive division. Then you go up, need a squad full of mercenaries and know you'll never get near the top 6. Seems a bit pointless, just hanging around until eventually you have a bad season and go down. Loads of clubs just circling the drain. Hopefully if we get there with a decent set up we can be more ambitious than that, but without ploughing loads in (hard with FFP anyway) it's very difficult to get anywhere

Some positive could come from it, might clamp down on other clubs and attempt to make the upper league more fair... wage caps etc. would need cooperation with other big leagues though and can't see it happening so let's just watch them get impatient and call for Amanda's head when Bruce is still there next season (unlikely I know but we can hope )

If Carlsberg did takeovers! 😂🤣

Neville selling out. England was like Saudi Arabia 300/400 years ago! Then going on about Abramowich and Chinese owners being as bad? Abhorrent as they may be the analogy is ridiculously naive.
Haven’t time to listen past first 10 minutes just now. Be interested in what others say about this.
I think he I know what he was getting at, but in essence he’s saying football can be used as a bargaining chip to force corrupt and inhumane countries to change. Sorry but all that does is morally corrupt my sport and give these evil people a platform of credibility.
Politics should not be in sport end of as far as Iam concerned, he’s arguing it should be. It’s bad enough when the olympics and World Cup are compromised but that’s altogether different to the impact football clubs have on their communities in this country. It infiltrates our culture with evil

The problem is that football is full of uneducated morons. You cannot be surprised in the slightest at these dullards posing for pictures with an Islamic flag in one hand and a bottle of alcohol in the other. There didn't look to be a single postgraduate among them - not one.

Had it been Newcastle Falcons, there would have been absolute uproar over such a takeover, and rightly so.

This entire sideshow has only succeeded in showing the lower-working classes for what they truly are.

Until the last line.... you were actually spot on. OK the "postgraduate" comment was a warning.. but even so... (and I'd have substituted "Newcastle" for "football" in the first line...)

The "uneducated morons" aren't just in the stands though.

But that last line... wow.
