I am slightly torn on it like, neither are ideal

I am probs Leach's biggest fan on here, and he should have played all summer

But I kind of have sympathy for them with no Stokes in those conditions

Again its all opinions mate. I think Bairstow is a better player, I just don't think its that clear-cut he walks in their side with a batting average of 1 more than Paine.

Their wickets are shite these days. Which is why its just a disaster how soft our middle order is (or anyone who is not Root tbf). Although they haven't played test cricket for almost a year, so god knows what kind of form their lot will have.

the last part we don’t know like to be fair

and I say that as someone who likes him but I understand if he doesn’t play

we just can’t play 4 bowlers including leach in my opinion, I think they’d just hit him out of the attack

my own view is that he’s a good county player maybe not top level. But they looked at him when he was younger and was reportedly close
