Ashes squad

Afraid he should be.

He is on the record as being part of the cover up of institutional racism. If the ECB grasps the gravity of the situation then they have to peddle him as captain. The revelations are shocking.

His record as not actively being part of it is the only thing that saves him being suspended as a player.

But aye, I do think they will try to bend the usual rules of how they mete out justice to save him. Watch the media crescendo grow though...
Of course, he may have to go however probably worth waiting for the ECB investigation to conclude before saying he needs to be sacked as captain.
Others may have also known about Hales/Ballance/Vaughan etc they played a lot of cricket for England

If we assume this kind of behaviour is why Hales hasn't had a look in with England for so long then it is damning of the ECB that we have had people play for England who are known to have exhibited this behaviour, presumably came back with a "but everyone does it" response and have done nothing to hold the counties to account. (No, I'm not surprised)

As said in other thread, it's the actual denial that's the problem here. It's doesn't seem credible.

You are right on other thread, everyone seems to have known about it.

He's not a very good captain either. First captain in 20 years to lose three series on the spin. The lack of any outstanding alternatives is the main thing keeping him in the job.

Former Test side bowling coach (2005-06) and Annfield Plain pro Troy Cooley has joined the England set up as a Performance bowling consultant ? Apparently for the Ashes only and to assist Jon Lewis the bowling coach
