The Ernie Wise to Vics Eric Motecambe, except he’s funnier than Vic.
Dont find vic funny at all nowaday, just tried to be wacky on hootnanny etc but rarely raises a laugh.

Told the missus to stick it on Christmas list. The audible version is supposed to be superb as he narrates it himselfLogon or register to see this image
Yes mate listened to the audio version last week it's superb. Well worth a download.Told the missus to stick it on Christmas list. The audible version is supposed to be superb as he narrates it himself
He's doing a job on Dave at the moment on some weirdly thought out panel/quiz show.
Are you sure it was a wisdom toothLaughed more when I had a wisdom tooth removed
Finished it yesterday, very very good. A few genuine laugh out loud moments. You get a real feel for what he is actually like, basically as you can imagine, his whole career has been him playing a daft character for the most part. He admits to being very different and it's a thread that runs through the entire book.Told the missus to stick it on Christmas list. It really is a great audiobook. I'll buy the hard copy as well, I'll definitely read it in the future.

Vic isn't actually that interested in doing comedy any more. Maybe that's why whenever he's appeared on stuff in the last decade it's felt a bit dialled-in. He pretty much concentrates on being an artist now, which was always his real love. After
Bob has grown well into his old age, like a fine wine or malt whiskey. I loved Vic and Bob back in the day and still have great affection for Jim, but he's become like someone's embarrassing zany Dad now. Maybe he's changed, maybe I have.
Having said that, I've read Bob's autobiography and the way Jim basically put his arm around someone with no confidence and helped coax him out of his shell confirms what a great bloke he is. Everyone could do with a mate like Jim, or Bob for that matter.

There's a brilliant recent interview with him on the Adam Buxton podcast. A very thoughtful and funny man when just talking normally:
