I donate to Amnesty International and am involved in a number of other organisations which do their bit for campaigning against the violation of human rights. You do know you don't have to chain yourself to the gates of Downing Street to show your support against the violation of human rights?

That’s what’s pissed me off the most the way the local journalists covered do canio compared to this . And when we point out the biases people say it’s in our head look north etc. In 2013 I remember reading a post from a north east journalist saying if we celebrate a goal under di canio we are supporting fascism. This is a million times worse and nothing from the local media

Fuck load of assumptions being made there. I'm sure there are a large number of posters, myself included, who donate, or have donated, to various human right organisations, be it AI, Kurdish or Armenian support groups, or whatever. It's just that we choose not to shout it from the rooftops. I live in Bristol, demos are a specialisation down here. So attending an AI demo at SJP is a bit impractical; however, if I lived locally I would attend one at SJP.
