I didn't.
I have nothing against Ashley.
They are going to invest massively but only in Newcastle and mainly only in the city centre. No other part of the region will benefit and it will be to the detriment to the rest of the north east.Surely they’re going to invest in the region? Wasn’t that one if the arguments? If we all benefit then we’ll all be guilty of hypocrisy.
Nah yer alright thanks marraFuck me sideways.
As outsider looking in you do make some points. However, and I say this with no history of the rivalry with both clubs..
Your fans have never stopped protesting about Ashley, you are the kings of protest, the kings of of entitlement, us neutrals laugh at the sheer bollocks of all this " we deserve more".
What is really sticking in the throat of others is that not once has their been any protest regarding this takeover, even traipsing down to London to protest about the premierships initial objection to the takeover.
The Saudi's have had your pants down, they are not daft and will know 100,% that If any fans would suck their hairy balls, it would be the gullible Newcastle fans who when offered the chance of a superstar, would keep quiet about their atrocities.
In fact not only keep quiet, but shout from the rooftops about how fantastic they are.
The sad part now being, most neutrals would not have begrudged a trophy heading its way to SJP, that has been eroded overnight.
I didn't protest. I actually liked Ashley and understood he wasn't a cash on the hip money machine.Even some sort of protest.....like you did with Ashley.......would have given your fans a little kudos.
I'm merely giving my opinions, not defending myself. I have nothing to defend about myself.Curious that you feel the need to defend yourself to Sunderland fans when every paper and website is discussing potential signings.
But, but.....
The Reuben brothers are already heavily invested in the city.Surely they’re going to invest in the region? Wasn’t that one if the arguments? If we all benefit then we’ll all be guilty of hypocrisy.
Great work Darren. I’m scared of the sight of blood too, can you help me out?Darren claims he turned homophobes just by talking to them, some boy is Darren. Oh and he’s also a lying bastard

The hemogoblins!Great work Darren. I’m scared of the sight of blood too, can you help me out?
Aye, your morals. However ( and this does not just go for Newcastle United fans) if the owner is rich and promises massive ambition and can appear to back it up then morals go out of the window. Like I said, morals are subjective.
Saudis made it so the empire won marra.Looks like I can't watch any more episodes of the Mandalorian![]()
I have a couple of mates like that but unfortunately have shown themselves to be hypocrites, spent their life bemoaning mysogyny, homophobia, human rights abuse & capitalism, but when it results in a few quid for their team they're quite happy to accept it & contort themselves into justifying it.Friend of mine is a Newcastle supporter, and very active on the left. He told me the other day that with great sadness he can't follow his team any more as he couldn't live with betraying what he believes. Respect him for that, if not for his choice in duvet covers.
Me too. I never agreed with it and always backed Ashley. I actually thank him for saving the club and giving it a go.
He made massive mistakes on top of doing some good things.
The harmony of him and certain fans crumbled and created a monster than just got bigger and bigger when success wasn't forthcoming but relegation and subsequent promotion as champions changed all that....for a short while.
Like I said with morals. It's subjective.
Look at it this way.
An arab with empty pockets and bluster with this reputation would be exactly that. He would be campaigned against because nobody would want an owner who blags his way forward for 5 minutes. The atrocities would be foremost in the minds at this time...used as the battering ram.
However ( and this does not just go for Newcastle United fans) if the owner is rich and promises massive ambition and can appear to back it up then morals go out of the window. Like I said, morals are subjective.
I'd say any sets of fans to be fair.
Some would, but it does go for all sets of fans. This comes down to moral high ground which is also subjective.
Other people begrudging will not alter the elation of the fans who are on the end of the joys of winning the trophy, by hook or by crook.
I didn't protest. I actually liked Ashley and understood he wasn't a cash on the hip money machine.
His biggest mistake was in trying to be a fan and one of the lads and thinking brining a one time messiah in would catapult him into the big time.
From there it was a roller coaster ride.
I think it’s fairly obviously they doDo you seriously think Newcastle fans, on the whole, condone atrocities?
They are fans of the club.
If this was Sunderland the ground would be swarming with fans jumping for joy and I would be jealous and envious.
Like I said: Morals are for cherry pickers when it comes to stuff like this.
Saudis made it so the empire won marra.
