They are going to invest massively but only in Newcastle and mainly only in the city centre. No other part of the region will benefit and it will be to the detriment to the rest of the north east.
 
Unfortunately for the mags they just keep digging a deeper hole as they try and justify the Saudis to the point where it's embarrassing to witness.

They wanted the Saudis so desperately and fuck the consequences was their attitude as the last 18 months have proved as we witnessed with the protests and the petitions sent to the houses of parliament on top of numerous other desperate tactics

They now have got what they wished for so you can't then try and sugar coat their new barbaric murderous new owner. It's hypocritical and down right disgraceful

You wanted the murderous bastards at all costs so have the balls to admit it

Me too. I never agreed with it and always backed Ashley. I actually thank him for saving the club and giving it a go.
He made massive mistakes on top of doing some good things.
The harmony of him and certain fans crumbled and created a monster than just got bigger and bigger when success wasn't forthcoming but relegation and subsequent promotion as champions changed all that....for a short while.

Like I said with morals. It's subjective.

Look at it this way.
An arab with empty pockets and bluster with this reputation would be exactly that. He would be campaigned against because nobody would want an owner who blags his way forward for 5 minutes. The atrocities would be foremost in the minds at this time...used as the battering ram.

However ( and this does not just go for Newcastle United fans) if the owner is rich and promises massive ambition and can appear to back it up then morals go out of the window. Like I said, morals are subjective.

I didn't protest. I actually liked Ashley and understood he wasn't a cash on the hip money machine.
His biggest mistake was in trying to be a fan and one of the lads and thinking brining a one time messiah in would catapult him into the big time.

From there it was a roller coaster ride.

The Reuben brothers are already heavily invested in the city.
If this set up ultimately drips down the north east, are people going to give it up? I doubt it.

I have a couple of mates like that but unfortunately have shown themselves to be hypocrites, spent their life bemoaning mysogyny, homophobia, human rights abuse & capitalism, but when it results in a few quid for their team they're quite happy to accept it & contort themselves into justifying it.

I've just consulted with a PhD graduate in moral and political philosophy (currently two floors above me). and he begs to differ. Attempting to justify a position by changing your moral response is not in fact a morally justifiable stance. In his words, "It's actually sociopathy".
