Guaranteed success apparently 🤷🏼‍♂️ I hope they get battered every game. I’d love to see them get relegated this season and see the meltdown.
Take a breath and realise you support a club that is owned by murdering bastards who are using you as unpaid PR minions to support their oppressive regime.

Shameless f***ing maggots.

Just can’t help themselves man, absolutely zero self awareness and complete lack of class.

I’m sure all the other clubs in the league and Europe are just going to roll over like they have for their overlords

I didn't want them but I'm in no position to stop what's happening so I'll be going with the usual stuff I've always done and that's be a fan and supporter of Newcastle United football club, regardless. Thick of thin and good bad or ugly as I've always done.
You are in a position too. Just as the fans of the big 6 put an end to the super league talk. You lot could do anything you like to stop it happening. You all wanted. Stop pretending you had no say. No ones buying it all.

Got to laugh at a lot of the comments on here.

If someone asked me the colour of the Saudi flag I'd have struggled. Didn't know there was writing on it and wouldn't have had a clue what it meant.

Now the hotbed of vexillology that is the SMB are piling in to criticise daft charvas, who would struggle to find Saudia Arabia on a map, for having a can and holding a flag to celebrate the end of the Ashley reign.

If you have a problem with this takeover then aim at those who were responsible. Ashley, Stavely, Reubens, HM Gov, the premier League. Please don't try to claim that your own charvas wouldn't be doing the same.

This place has a history for trying to claim you are somehow different. You're not. It's not that long ago that a significant number of people on here were supporting Johnson while he was awaiting trial for noncing.

the problem is these are the exact people falling hook line and sinker for this.

They’ve got enough of their own but they are now a shit magnet for every nutter and extremist with an axe to grind. They really didn’t think this through.

having watched the dissident recently, it is terrifying to think there is a room somewhere in Saudi Arabia filled full of people hired purely with the sole intent to fill NUFC Twitter with this repulsive shite

Of course the fans can help with who owns you. If Alien heed loves the club and fans as much as she's saying in the media you could have said please look for someone else too back the consortium. But no all you seen is the money and all she seen was a set of gullible desperate fans.
Just like Ashley she will try and keep the fans happy at first (hire Keegan/Shearer type managers)then when it goes tits up the fans will turn on her.
How can you have your club back when the majority shareholder will never ever set foot in SJP?
Whatever happens will happen. I'm not in control of any of it.
I can decide not to support the club I love but why would I?
Near 50 years a fan and supporter and whether we crash and burn or go steady or win trophies by whatever means it is deemed, it will be what it will be.
If they destroyed the club into non league oblivion I'd still be newcastle United fan and supporter.

I still maintain that there’s plenty the fans can do. This investment from the Saudis is all about sports washing. If they wanted they could easily disrupt this with protests and generally letting their dissatisfaction be known. At the very least they could not be complicit with MBS’s aims, and stop perpetuating Saudi propaganda across social media and generally being seen to be welcoming their new overlords with open ar

I agree. And I'm not condoning what the owners do outside of football. I have no influence on outside of it nor inside of it. All I am is a simple fan and supporter of Newcastle united.

My main entertainment if Newcastle United, sport wise and, like I said, the good the bad and the ugly of that entertainment is a part of my life but not all of my life.

If you want to cast shame on me for being a fan then do so but understand it won't change my loyalty to the club and every team put onto that pitch.

No idea how you reacted but it was cringeworthy seeing grown men apologising for Saudi. Not the charvas like in the famous flag pic - these are just daft kids who couldn't pick out Manchester on a map never mind Riyadh and likely never even been to a live game.

Many in the NE have taken the Saudi Riyal and know what it is about. Doesn't mean you have to love the place, defend it at every turn and apologise for it's actions. There was absolutely no dissent and polls showing 97% fans welcomed KSA kept them at the table for all this time. There will be some good days ahead for you, of that I am sure, but NUFC are now the Western face of KSA and that will have ramifications. Forget about PSG/City etc. Qatar, UAE are mere gnats and KSA are top dogs in the region and NUFC will be used by every campaign going to make their point. Afterall, they can hardly campaign in KSA! I really don't think they have thought it through and no end of PR campaigns and twitter bots will protect them from the negative attention.

Enjoy, it couldn't have happened top a more appropriate club!

Nee mention of the reejun then 🧐?

We’re just like them apparently and all this controversy is born out of us being jealous though.

No one does delusion like a mag, failing to realise they still have the same manager as it stands and certainly the same players until January who have them currently in the bottom 3

Are you really that dense, or are you just pretending to be stupid as some sort of comfort blanket?

If any significant proportion of Newcastle’s support had publicly spoken out against this takeover, then it would have zero sportswashing value and the Saudis would have walked away. That would have been easy to do - not least in this era of social media.

As it is, almost all have bent over backwards to roll out the red carpet, and practically beg these people to come and “save you” from the “horror and suffering” of years of relative finically stability in the premier league.

Just look at the official NUFC LGBT group for fucks sake. Newcastle United is now owned by a man and a regime that publicly flogs and chemically castrates people, if they are “caught” being gay. Under Saudi law, a second offence is punished by death, with no exceptions. Often by way of blindfolding someone, tying their hands, walking them to the top of a high-rise building, and pushing them off.

You’d have thought that this small detail might be be enough for the NUFC LGBT group to draw a line. But no - they have gone with “yeah they’re a bit bad, but they appointed a woman to negotiate for them so they’re obviously about to change”.

Thousands of children lie in the dirt in Yemen. Thousands. Isis continues to receive its Saudi funding. Kharshoggis fiancé still has no answers about the whereabouts of his body (parts).

But yeah, there’s nothing you can do pal. It’s all just the life of a football supporter. #AnnounceTarkowski #Cans
You make it sound really simple.
Like I said earlier. If this same scenario was your club I'd hazard one hell of a guess many of you lot would be cheering the rooftops.
You can sit there and play your moral high ground stance if you want but you would pretty much know the situation would be very very similar.

I've already stated in this thread that if the Saudis had taken us over my season card would already be sent back to the SoL in pieces. And I mean it. Some things matter more than football, like having a conscience.

Friend of mine is a Newcastle supporter, and very active on the left. He told me the other day that with great sadness he can't follow his team any more as he couldn't live with betraying what he believes. Respect him for that, if not for his choice in duvet covers.

SKY should hang their head in shame aswell like.

the mags have NEVER been a massive klerb, no bigger than many, but the 92ers would have you believe they’ve got the richest history in world football because they were ok at the right time.

basically, the Saudi’s have bought a manufactured narrative.
They will be sucking the stoners off in their next match. Whilst of course watching them “take the knee” to “bring about a global society of inclusion, respect and equal opportunities for all." F**king hypocrites.

1. it really is that simple.

2. it’s not my club. Thank God(/Allah).

Every fan in the country needs to troll the living piss out of every single sponsor that is associated with them. Just like what they did when the deal was blocked. Make the fuckers as toxic as their rancid shit stained cowies.
I suspect they will end up with few sponsors other than PIF itself or some front for it, other maybe the odd sword or lash maker.

I can see most other sponsors running a mile for fear of the pressure that customers will bring to bear on them.
