One positive that I can see coming from this is that the rest of the country are about to learn what we've known for years - that those black and white knobheads are absolutely unbearable at the best of times. Even the ones that come across as being sincere inevitably end up showing themselves up for the snidey bellends that they really are.

If they get really good most of them will probably be priced out of tickets or sitting with tourists.

Will be interesting to see how all this pans out. No fanbase is as capable as whipping themselves up in to a frenzy or getting as carried away as the mags are.

I made the point earlier that when the bought Shearer for £15m was it? That is the equivalent of now spending £100m+ on a player in today’s market.

How much will they actually have to spend in real terms to catch up with say City? And would the rules even allow it now??

I’m not going to pretend to know that much about these people buying the mags wealth or intentions.

I would say that City’s playing squad is probably worth almost £2bn. So no, the rules don’t allow it now.

That’s not the whole point though. Even if they had carte Blanche to spend ridiculous money, and assuming they even wanted to, they need to convince players to come up to Newcastle.

Top players want to win trophies. “Come and sign for us now, aye we’ve got Paul Dummett at the moment but in five years time we expect to be able to challenge” is a tough sell to any top player.

Man City didn’t become this Man City overnight, and they made most of their progress before FFP was tightened up. City had to pretty much build three or four squads, each incrementally stronger.
Saudis, Mags and now Jordan fckin Peterson!
He’d fit right in with the Saudis the woman hating freak

Eh?

There’s an element of what Jordan Peterson calls “the Auschwitz Prison Guard” problem, in all of this.

I’m sitting here wondering whether or not I could just overlook the murders etc, for a bigger transfer budget, if it was us.

The truth is I don’t know. I would like to think that I’d have enough moral backbone to be appalled at the idea of Sunderland being in this kind of ownership; but I know a lot of mags who are very decent people, and they seem determined to turn a blind eye etc. It’s human nature to only see the story you want to see. I’ve got little doubt that if it was us, most Sunderland supporters would be doing the same “selective blindness” routine.
I know of 2 mag supporters who have both said they will no longer attend matches. One a male who isn’t a season ticket holder but attends quite a few games, the other a female season ticket holder. Both are gay and have said that they can’t be associated with a regime that would have them put to death for who they are.

Could go belly up, most of the players will know they are going to sign better replacements, none of them will have NE roots, they will live in London, train in London and the Saudis will fly them in and out... Another pay off for Mr Bruce

You trying to convince us or you ?
He's yet another mag who joined in 2013 pretending to be one of us with posts like this below or has Poyet replaced Bruce at NUFC in the last few hours?:lol:

Please enlighten me as to how we will improve. I need seem facts as well as belief from my own supporters. I can't get my head around this appointment. What has Poyet done (football wise, not toilet wise)?

A Newcastle fan on the SSN reel saying it's not on the fans to burden themselves with the question. Then, incredibly, blamed Amnesty internationals footprint for the ignorance of their young supporters before saying he will turn a blind eye for his son getting to see Newcastle win the league.

A disgrace.

Good to see they have the occasional fan with morals

Fair play to them for that, I'm right wing so you know when even I wouldn't put up with something it must be too far
