I just don't understand it. The club sacked a manager for his outspoken, public opinions (and shite results) on players and have gone for more of the same with the new manager. I want it to work but from what I've read about Poyet he's just as mad as Di Canio who will fall out with players.

Hopefully his second game result is the same as Di Canios and hopefully we're not sitting here in 6 months time after another player coup

Not tested at this level, but did well at Brighton.

As with everything time will tell...

Unsure. A decent record in the lower leagues, but no Premier experience as a manager.

Likes to play good football. I like to watch it.

Believes in ball retention, Out lot drove me mad against man u with their playing attitude of "Oops, sorry you didn't score in your last attack, here's the ball again". That basically how we lost the game. Unnecessary thumping the ball anywhere. Almost anything that will stop that is good news. Gus will stop it.

So for me, I will support him because he will be our manager and he likes good football.

No wonder the rest of the footbal world are laughing at us. They played the muppet tune on Talksport! How any real Sunderland fan thinks this is a good appointment is beyond me. But if we beat the mags everything is ok? Give me strength!

Unsure. Unlikely to do anything and unlikely to last past 12 months or so. Best of luck to the bloke - he's going to need it.

The bastard jumped onto unsure when I pressed cast vote.

For the record I'm happy with his appointment. :)

Poor appointment in my opinion. Don't see how this is any better than PDC.
How do people expect the same players to suddenly become ball passing experts just because we have a league 1 manager?
Leave Bally to finish what he's started

A big YES!

Please enlighten me as to how we will improve. I need seem facts as well as belief from my own supporters. I can't get my head around this appointment. What has Poyet done (football wise, not toilet wise)?

Of all the names in the frame he is the best fit, he seems to really want the job and his footballing ethos is good, a slightly risky appointment but they all are at the end of the day. Happy.

Wasn't my first choice, but of anyone who we were realistically likely to get he's the best of a very average bunch so it's a yes from me.

Come on now, there´s no reason why Poyet might not be the one..at least he´s not Stuart Pearce!
