There’s an element of what Jordan Peterson calls “the Auschwitz Prison Guard” problem, in all of this.

I’m sitting here wondering whether or not I could just overlook the murders etc, for a bigger transfer budget, if it was us.

The truth is I don’t know. I would like to think that I’d have enough moral backbone to be appalled at the idea of Sunderland being in this kind of ownership; but I know a lot of mags who are very decent people, and they seem determined to turn a blind eye etc. It’s human nature to only see the story you want to see. I’ve got little doubt that if it was us, most Sunderland supporters would be doing the same “selective blindness” routine.

Will be interesting to see how all this pans out. No fanbase is as capable as whipping themselves up in to a frenzy or getting as carried away as the mags are.

I made the point earlier that when the bought Shearer for £15m was it? That is the equivalent of now spending £100m+ on a player in today’s market.

How much will they actually have to spend in real terms to catch up with say City? And would the rules even allow it now??

I’m not going to pretend to know that much about these people buying the mags wealth or intentions.

I might be a lot of things, my sister calls me Victor meldrew with good reason tbh 😂 my mates think I'm daft as a brush, my wife and 2 lads call me tighter than a fishes arse. But one thing I'm not is someone like you and by that I mean some grown man who pretends to support safc and signs up to a rivals message board.

To me that's just f***ing embarrassing and scary tbh. I've no idea what you get out of it, it's absolute frightening behaviour
