NUFC/Sportwashing

Nowt we can do, it’s ok for those that live in Roker and never leave the city but some of us live and work in Newcastle we will have to put up with them buying trophies for the next 20 years once they start building the club.
There's plenty other clubs trying and failing to buy the league, man Utd for example. They were already right at the top 8 years ago, since then they've spent over one billion on player transfers and Christ knows how much on wages, still no title. Their turnover is 4 x higher than the mags, as the Everton fan on here explained they too have super rich owners but the PL won't allow them to throw money around beyond the set parameters for fear of points deduction. This will suit the mags consortium, their primary aim is already satisfied, a geopolitical win with their reputation cleansed and validated. Sportswash completed. PIF exists solely to create enduring future economic benefits for The KSA not to piss money up the wall in a forgotten corner of North East England.

Newcastle fans - Mike Ashley is stain on society how can I give him my money with all of his poor working practices I must sadly and reluctantly protest against my own club my one true love.

Also Newcastle fans - there's no room for politics in football, it's with a heavy heart I will be attending every game and cheer on my team, MBS isn't even that bad kashoggi just needed to shut up anyway and death to all enemies of our great and dear leader, fuck the West.
Just to add another layer of confusion they'll also be paid up labour members.

For those thinking the Saudis are going to be happy spending £20-£30m each year and plodding along in the league each year you’re in for a shock. They’ve paid Bein off with 1billion just to get the green light to buy a premier league club. It will take time but trust me in 5 years or so they will be competing for the league. Going to be grim decade watching those fuckers buy trophies and rub it in.

Yeah so you keep saying and saying and saying - mag

It’s bad enough listening to work colleagues mock us for being in league one at least they’ve been shit too but when they start buying trophies it’s going to make my days very long. I’ve got a conference to attend at St James next week hoping they cancel it.
Are you not over the league 1 crack at this point? I am. Weve been here a while, we are here now. Its like getting upset at being told "we saw you crying on Netflix" and "5under1and". If you let stuff like that bother you, then that is on you Im afraid.

How will that affect you personally though? Probably not that much. Ive lived and worked in Newcastle in the past. Some of them are fine, some of them talk shit. The world keeps turning, my day to day life was not affected.
This. Some people take it way too seriously.

Football is a hobby - I don’t let watching a shit film or my shit running times get me wound up either.

They are going to spend shit loads but who can they realistically sign?

Everton have done it already - the best part of £100m on Alex Iwobi and Gylfi Sigurdsson alone.

They won’t be signing Mbappe, Donnarumma etc ever.

Ah fuck em I'm enjoying this season and what we're building and the way we're doing it. To be honest I have fuck all interest in the prem until we're back in it. Ah that point I'll worry about what may or may not have happened.

There was a video clip not that long ago with Griezmann and Mbappe on a plane. Griezmann tells mbappe that he signed him for Newcastle on football manager. Mbappes reaction said it all. Absolutely no chance will they ever sign that kind of player, basically because of geography.

For all those that say money talks it does, but if someone of that calibre is available then all the top clubs are offering those wages. He's does not choose the North east of England to live!

A lot of tin foil hats on this thread unfortunately.

It's a grim reality that NUFC are being bought out by this lot whilst we are still lingering in league one.

I don't think we'd be playing the human rights card if this was us.

Bullshit. What did the Keegan era do for Sunderland?

I'll tell you, it left our peripheral catchment areas crawling with mag fans.
I can hardly stomach the sight of those involved the the aj case, if our owner had some dealing in murdering a journalist that went to get his wedding certificate then chopping up his body and lying to the world about it I'd be at least put off of buying a pie at half time

Who is actually paying for this takeover? The latest official info from that meeting last week was that the financiers of the deal pulled out yonks ago and have made no contact since.

Staveley couldn’t rub 2 £5 notes together on her own, took them months to come up with the extra £50m that Ashley wanted for the club.

Not initially no, like I said earlier look at what Man City did it was signing the likes of Gael Clichy, Sagna, Adebayor, Robinho etc before then they moved up a notch. It will be similar with those, certainly won’t be signing Haaland or Mbappe but in 5 years time they may be in that position.

Exactly. If the money's there, the players will come.
